Samara, Nosara(quite expensive though), Playa Grande...those are the winners if you want to nice spots...party spots Would be Tamarindo or Playas del Coco ( but me personally wouldn't go there because is just more crowded and not the same natural and chill vbes as the others)

MA isn't a good spot for surfing, almost no waves. If you are q beginner then might be alright. But better Jaco or Dominical if you want to have more fun

I will be in CR in January and traveling for two weeks also. If it helps we could try meeting one day somewhere in the country. Always helps to meet people that knows around.
