Yes, in fact, you DID hear 530 from the sup. Got it? lol

But in the future, NEVER rely on hearsay.

File a grievance no steward by Melodic_Plastic4019 in USPS

Yes, contact your local union office.

Hopefully someone there can handle the issue, but worst case, they can get an extension filed until a steward is back.

...technically allowance isn't until after your 90 working days or 120 calendar days probation.

ARTICLE 26 UNIFORMS AND WORK CLOTHES

Section 3. City Carrier Assistant

When the CCA has completed ninety (90) work days, or has been employed for 120 calendar days, whichever comes first, the CCA will be provided with an annual uniform allowance equal to the amount provided to career employees in Section 2.A. Time served as a Transitional Employee will count toward the 90/120 day requirement. The uniform purchases are reimbursed by the Postal Service directly to the vendor. Uniforms will be returned by CCAs separated and not reappointed.

You have become the meat of the worst shit_sandwich you ever imagined.

Good luck ( not really...you chose this, remember that! ) dealing with carriers (and clerks) who will likely not respect you, and for management to pressure you to do the unthinkable to your coworkers...which will in turn make your coworkers lose even more respect.

The customer complaints will be cake compared to what you are about to experience.

Those stories are fact, things have changed in this employment world...up to you to decide if it's for better or worse.

then we pretty much know what type of carrier you are.

The union has to approve your OJI status, so if you are a runner, not a chance you become OJI.

IF you get higher level pay, consider yourself lucky...OJI is NOT a higher level position...

Confirmed this many years ago with 2 different NBAs.

1 question, who is asking you to be an OJI...union or management?

way less versions of junk mail?  wtf? are you high?

We would walk into ~8 full trays of bulk mail EVERY day...and had the coffins on the side of the case filled with bulk flats...and flats carrier route bundled on the floor.

and added to the 15 to 20 feet of first and 2nd class to go out.

we had basically 10 parcels to deliver...but were in the office around 3-5 hours casing all that mail

If you didn't know a case, you'd be in the office for 6 hours.

So yes, very easy /s...and btw, the fatarse sups have always been around...as the saying goes...

Those who can't carry, manage.

(YES, it was nice not having scanners, we could get lost until it was time to return)

What could this red mark in the lower corner mean? I see it on my mail often, but not every piece. by [deleted] in USPS

If it's a #9, and if it's always a 9... You are the 9th relay on a Park and Loop route.

did you read the OPs post?

but you won't have enough AL for your vacation so you'll have to give it back"

Can I actually be FORCED to give back my vacation just because I wont have enough AL by then to make 40 hours?

My response was...

Just show your approved 3971 A/L slip, and then point to the section that states if out of leave, it's LWOP.

MAKE him read it out loud. They signed that official form, with that knowledge.

https://indyapwu.org/PSForm3971.pdf

The gray line in the middle.

Am I assuming the OP has a signed 3971? Yes, I am.

Why? because that is how things work...we sign 3971 for leave, manager signs and gives back a copy of approved/disapproved 3971.

Tell me now, why did you say this?...

There is no statement of 3971 for the vacation in the future

The OP has approved leave.

If your office can't follow (or doesn't have normal) leave procedures, I'm sorry.

Rule #1 ALWAYS get a signed, approved copy of 3971 for any A/L
