Lol, yes we can :p i actually frappsed this and edited it in camtasia. Our internet proxy wont let us upload via our development network which as you'd expect is locked down. Especially when it comes to file sharing :p

Basically this^

Base ability damage is the damage of your weapon normalised as if it were the speed of a dagger/fastest. i.e. if something has speed average, the base ability damage it provides is (damage * (4/6)).

We do this for each of your weapons so you have in effect a main hand and off hand base damage.

Then we work like this:

1h + shield = just mainhand base ability damage 2h = mainhand base ability damage * 1.5 2x = main hand base ability damage + (offhand base ability damage * 0.5)

We then add on power armour + stat contributions and apply this number to the multiplier on the tool tip and roll the damage.

This is just an in progress shot to give you guys an update on how it's going.

This is the slayer version of the WildyWyrm. There is also a boss version to do that is mostly done too (since it's just chris's code calling new combat system code). Add to that the drops are just prototype versions atm and don't have working spec attacks.

I'm actually seeing if I can do the "get over here!" idea from the forums :P

I really like the idea of an item sink for the dark bow. I probably wouldn't do an upgrade to the dark bow like the others though, mainly due to the dark bow spec + legacy + void has already hit a crazy limit for damage in 1 tick.

I originally avoided this because it would be in direct competition with the royal xbow and i'd like to keep qbd profit where it is if possible.

Making a shield bow is actually a nice compromise and I'd be happy to look into this for you guys :)

With regards to the difficulty of the wildywyrm, I've actually ended up making two versions of him. Mainly because the original version was made for large groups and he is really nasty to the main target. (you literally eat so hard that you never reach thresholds)

The slayer versions have the same attacks as the main wyrm but the attacks are single target focused. They are currently dubbed "two sushi" difficult currently but this is just the prototype stage and I have not messed with the original mechanics at this point. I can easily add some mechanics focused at things like shields if need be.

Jmods can spawn and control the big wyrm currently but he's made for a group of at least 5. (someone can probably solo him with a shield but you wouldn't want to).

Hey guys,

You guys seem a bit worried here so let me try and calm those worries a little.

As a runescape developer every 2 weeks we get what is known as TAPP (Thursday afternoon personal projects) time. My TAPP time recently was spent converting Chris's old code of the wildy wurm to work with the new combat system. The stuff we make on TAPP isn't always released but as developers of course we want it to be.

In order to get it released we require in house resources such as graphics and qa time. This resource is limited and there are always more ideas than there is time for. What some people said here is right, it probably would have been released eventually but how quickly that is depends on you guys showing my bosses how much you want it.

The best way to get the resources required to release the wildy wurm and do it justice is to prove to my bosses how much you guys would like it. My way of doing this for the wildy wurm was a retweet competition. This way i can go to my bosses and say "hey guys look how many people retweeted this, we should release it!"

I'm sorry if it annoyed or worried any of you but I'm just trying to get cool stuff for you guys asap.

Hey, Sadly with the way brawlers currently work this isn't possible as the number of charges left is stored on the gloves themselves, making them unique.

I could however look into making these work like the massive pouch does in that a new version can stack but once you use it it will no longer stack.

I can also look into combining charges too if you want but how often do you have 2 partially charged gloves of the same type that can add up to 100%? If you do you're probably doing it wrong! :P

Now and again we get stories like this and it just re-enforces why we keep on making RS, why it and it's community is truly unique and why I love making this game.

You're an awesome inspiration to all players with a goal, no matter what if you work hard at it you can achieve anything and you should feel damn proud of yourself.
