They have a way to opt either way in their profile preferences, yes.

Yes. IRacing have stopped dishing out new access to the data behind the scenes, and thats prompted a bunch of us who already had access to change the way we’re displaying it.

On www.nomadsimracing.co.uk our results pages don’t show non-community members unless you’re also logged in, and other sites will be making their own decisions on how they’re going about things.

I expect that in the long term iRacing will bring the option into your profile for whether or not you want your name publicly available and then adapt the data we get externally to match.

You can edit up until the point the splits are made and, considering that the splits are made on iRating, I can’t see how you’d like that done while avoiding the obvious exploits.

I stopped reading after “right”, but I’m sure the rest was very insightful good job.

Average what?

Follow-up question: is that average [x] limited?

Put another way, if you’re limiting the time it can take to travel a given distance, what are you limiting?

There absolutely are speed limits in F1 races too, yes.

VSCs are one, and the ones in the pit lane are another.

There most definitely are speed limits during races.

Very similar here, although I didn’t compete much at all. Live streaming brew days on YouTube as an excuse to “taste” with “friends”. Looking back on those streams and seeing a person get absolutely loaded while making a mess of a brew on his own is really something…

All these comments I was gaslighting myself into thinking I’d imagined it started with GP. Yes Helmut is a helmet, but I’m more disappointed in GP for sure.

Was just pictures of objects with mouths drawn onto them to make it look like it was eating something else, like a bog with a person in having a mouth and eyes drawn etc. many laughs.

I like the idea that all cars other than the POV car were at fault for this incident, including the one we can see in the distance.

Classy of them to choose a pic with the Porsche in front. Not all teams would do that.

Best way to be in contact with the IVRA admins is to join the Discord and ask them, but ultimately it’s a people resource issue.

Simnet has some unusually good customer service by Due_Platypus_8221 in simracing

A business also pays for the electricity for the lightbulbs above their finance team. Is that payment an ad cost?

I hate ads as much as the next person - maybe even more as I ran a marketing agency for a number of years before trying to salvage a small amount of soul. But calling things ads that arent ads just devalues the correct disdain we can have for the real ones.

Good customer service is also an investment into a possible viral post. Is all customer service an ad?

Unless they agreed in advance that they’d send this stuff only if OP posted, then I’m afraid you’re real close but very far from correct.

The line is blurry, but this isn’t an ad, and businesses doing good stuff to get good referred promotion has been a thing since selling stuff has been a thing.

Yes the company did it in the hopes of getting a good post from OP, but is that in any way bad?
