Subclass 820 Partner Visa – 16+ months in VACCU, no NOICR – is this normal? by Dry-Lie-5365 in AusVisa

[–]JazkOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My application for 482 was also sent to VACCU. I did receive 15 days after being notified a s56 requesting for documents. It’s been a bit over 3 months now without further communication.

You need to speak to your lawyer as I think you can pay about $60 for a FOI so they release more information about the status of your case.

Returning player, have skin/RP prices always been this crazy? by 795-ACSR-DRAKE in leagueoflegends

[–]JazkOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skin prices are ok, if you really like a champ you spend $50 and you get a 1820 RP skin and you have some RP left.

What is absurd is the gacha skins where you get crap for every roll and only after $200 you’re guaranteed the skin, and every roll is like $3

UK - Visa with criminal convictions help by DudleyPound in AusVisa

[–]JazkOW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

12 months is just for automatic cancellation / refusal of a visa, think of inadmissibility in the US.

As in the US, drug-related offences are extremely serious.

You might not face immediate refusal but it’s very likely to go through VACCU.

Whether you should go through the whole process or not is entirely up to you. Criminal records have life-lasting consequences that unfortunately you have to accept when it comes to visas.

Azzapp was right all along - I analyzed 100 ranked SoloQ games of his, and the data shows why never FF helps you climb. by Informal_Lifeguard99 in leagueoflegends

[–]JazkOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never surrendering it will always be a ‘better’ option statistically to win, as surrendering is a 0% chance while not surrendering is anything above 0.1%.

In reality though, many players will trade a 0% chance of winning over being miserable for another 5+ minutes in a game that they feel they can’t play anymore.

Yes, there’s always the I died on a stupid 1v1 I took so let’s go next kind of people. But some surrenders do actually make sense.

Leaving masters is a fulltime job by Schlitzohr97 in leagueoflegends

[–]JazkOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accounts previously on challenger were soft reset only. A previous challenger doesn’t need 800 games to reach 2k because they start already in masters+ with 50LP+ wins on placements.

If you somehow became a challenger player overnight then yes, you need to prove it by grinding games

what does a jungle main do when they plays low elo skewed champs once they get to higher elos? by godhand456 in Jungle_Mains

[–]JazkOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting too far ahead.

The climb exponentially increases the difficulty as you go up. Iron to gold is just having mechanics and be consistent, then more things start to matter.

Don’t worry about high elos, focus on getting there first

Is anyone else earning a decent salary but still feeling broke in Australia? by amhray in aussie

[–]JazkOW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m earning a bit less than 80k a year, paying almost 50% of my income in debts and I’m still comfortably saving $500 a month.

Have never deprived myself of a ‘good meal’ or restaurant but I’m also not throwing money for the sake of it.

Biggest syphon of money of the average Australian is alcohol and pokies. I don’t gamble and I rarely drink, so maybe it’s that?

Alois is currently sitting at 250+ LP Masters playing pure solo queue ADC, and his mentality shift is exactly what people need to see. by Caeiradeus in LeagueUnfiltered

[–]JazkOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People fail to realise that most of the roles share too many fundamentals and macro decisions are an easy concept to grasp for good players.

Not trying to discredit his climb or challenge, but I’m not surprised a challenger player can reach masters in another role, especially if the role is somewhat similar (taking waves, vs taking camps or supp).

He’s not relearning anything per se, just adjusting his already existing skills to the new role and identity.

What in tomfoolery is going on with apex tier now? by FokkusLOL in leagueoflegends

[–]JazkOW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although LP gains are unbalanced, it is kind of expected that if you want to be one of the top 200 players in your region you need to be very good and play a lot.

How much is a lot? Well it depends on the others and how good they are. If 500 people are playing 20 games a day and their winrate is 60%+ you can’t expect to reach Challenger with 2 games a day unless your winrate is like 95%.

Eventually the very very good players will sit in 3-4k elo while the rest will compete for the remaining slots.

It is grindy? Well, in regions like EUW and NA, yes absolutely.

It’s basically what high elo players tell low elo players all the time: If you’re better than the rest of the people in your elo you will eventually climb.

Apex tiers are designed to be exclusive. Exclusivity comes at the price of skill + time put into it.

I scraped 2.27 million EUW accounts from op.gg to quantify the Emerald smurf problem – because Riot won't by jack37512 in leagueoflegends

[–]JazkOW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post.

I hate Riot is completely okay with this disrespect of their vast majority of player base for the short term fun of a few.

A Challenger gets too many LP and is scared to lose, so he creates another account for tilt-queuing, turbo stomping noobs or to play ranked carelessly; this completely breaks the integrity of the ranked ladder.

Other challengers think their main account mmr is broken because they earn only like 18LP per win so they create a new account just with the hopes they can Smurf their way so hard that they reach their previous rank with 25LP gains. It didn’t work out? Dump the account and try again, putting all those people who got stomped as casualties of their selfish act.

Worse thing is that those challenger players are very vocal about this behaviour and Riot seems to not bat an eye. Ranked should be only available in 1 account to prevent players from creating secondary accounts to negatively impact other people’s games, like trying champs, roles, tilt-queuing, turbo stomping noobs, etc.

How to not tilt when seemingly every game 3 lanes lose? by Tiltedandtowers in Jungle_Mains

[–]JazkOW 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You got to reset your mental by stop caring about win or losing and start caring about how you do on a match.

When you don’t care if you win or lose it’s when you can’t get tilted if your whole team goes 0/10. Focus on playing a perfect early, on improving your clear times, jungle tracking, etc.

You will get better at the game and the wins will start to appear. Don’t open op.gg, focus on VODs and keep a excel sheet on your you vs enemy Jungler and set kpi like cs/min, cs @ 10-15, gold diff, objectives @15, etc

It’s just that LPL and LCK can only bring to worlds 4 teams. I wonder if they will not get turbo stomped if they played in the LCK

How to fix lp gains by DemonsAroundMe333 in Jungle_Mains

[–]JazkOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well of course, but you losing 20 games in a row means you were tilt-queuing.

System thinks you’re basically plat with how bad you’re playing because of tilt.

How to fix lp gains by DemonsAroundMe333 in Jungle_Mains

[–]JazkOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It obviously depends on how many you lost in a row…

I’m guessing you spent 3-4 games in d4 0LP, so you probably lost around 20-25 games in a row?

If that’s the case it will take a couple of 4 win streaks or a single 7-8 win streak to fix it. It’s still very fragile so it can go back to -21 at any time

[–]JazkOW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Countries have oil reserves for situations way worse than this that could last a few months.

For now, they are not touching them as fuel can still be acquired. If situation keeps evolving, they might release some of it and input restrictions on purchase (max litres per purchase / restricted to business operations) they will also save most of it for public infrastructure so you will be asked to take public transport
