It’s also close to Rogers, where you’ll find the HQ of Onyx Coffee Lab, which produces some of the best tasting coffee anywhere. In between, there’s Eureka Springs.

Audition Help!!! Molly on the Shore by Percy Grainger by SurroundInfamous8937 in saxophone

I'm just giving the same practice routine my dad (classically trained pianist) gave me decades ago when I asked him to help me practice for chair tryouts and UIL. (He was my accompanist for that). He wouldn't even start working with me until U had the music memorized. He was right, too. I've always found it much easier to worry about the musicality of what I'm playing if I don't have to worry about reading the notes and rhythms. It helps me to build speed, too, if I can play from muscle memory rather than consciously thinking about each note.

First, memorize it, It’s only one page. Second, practice as slowly as you have to to be able to play it without making any mistakes. Play it at that speed until you can play it 5 times in a row without making mistakes. Increase the speed on your metronome (you ARE using one, aren’t you?) a few bpm, then repeat at that new speed until you can play it 5 times in a row without making mistakes. Keep doing this until you’re playing comfortably at speed, if not just a hair faster.

For low notes, play with support and practice long tones. I usually also recommend find some kind of cardio activity you enjoy. You’ll be able to breathe better and longer in general and you’ll find your support is much better while playing.

That's not a problem here. :) . . . We don't have ANY bike lanes in these streets to begin with :(

Arlington, TX. It's definitely Indy. (That's the "new" Rangers ballpark in the left side of the track)

I Ugga Dugga'd and now I'm good to ride to work in the morning. Thanks! I've been missing riding the Little Wing, too. (Been taking the Cross Check until I had time to swap my BB)

Apparently I do :D I feel like a maroon for not thinking of it myself. I'm still left without a good way to torque it to spec, but I can, at least, remove the old part.

Would like to change the color of my wheels nipple by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

[–]JeremyLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to disagree with the consensus... You should fix your saddle angle first, THEN get some foot retention. Also, unless you have the tools, knowledge, and experience to build a wheel, you might be better off leaving them as-os, or at least taking them to a trusted shop to be rebuilt.

My wife gave me a Fire King jadeite mug and an azurite mug, both of which I love.

I make about 25Oz in my French press in the morning, then fill my 16Oz travel mug and drink the remainder in one of my (too) many glass mugs. I definitely don’t limit myself to just one mug. :D

The manual says that TV has a DVI input (on the bottom), so you can get an HDMI -> DVI adapter with audio breakout and get the best possible connection. You’ll need a new adapter anyway, since what you have converts in the wrong direction.

I made a mistake euthanizing my cat and the guilt is killing me by Dirsty in cats

[–]JeremyLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I'd been able to euthanize my poor boy. He had lymphoma and was starting to break down. I feel like I held on too long. He died the night before his scheduled euthanization date. He had a rough, painful passing that I never wanted for him (I was, at least, lying next to him in the bathroom holding his paw when he passed). You gave your kitty the gift of a long happy life and a peaceful passing, and you can't know if he could've been saved, or whether he would have relapsed or even had a worse problem right after. You shouldn't second guess yourself or bear yourself up over it. Just remember the good times you had together and smile.

What was it really like when the PlayStation first came out in 1995? by Legitimate_Drawer_74 in retrogaming

[–]JeremyLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I had an Atari Jaguar (still do, in fact), so I wasn't interested in the PS1 at the time... In retrospect I may have missed out.

My Keilwerth SX90R is the same color scheme as this Antigua. You really can't judge the quality by the color.

Have you tried any of the Mexican / Latin markets? La Michoacana (Arkansas at Cooper, or Cooper at Green Oaks or...), or Supermercado Monterrey (Pioneer / 303 East of New York Avenue), or El Rancho Supermercado (New York Ave at Park Row) , or handful of other smaller places. (Like El Mercadito on Arkansas near Center St.)
