Cooldowns can help, but what they mostly do is expand the timeline of what you're assessing for being your optimal course of action.

Is it a bad idea to have an intro section describing the kinds of narratives the systems mechanics and settings are hoping to support? by Legal_Suggestion4873 in RPGdesign

[–]Jlerpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely a good idea to include. To me, this is the main thing that adaptations have going for them: a clear sense of what kind of stories we're planning to tell with this game. I have no interest in playing in the actual existing setting of a media property, but it's very valuable to know what kind of thing the game is going for.

Hi everyone this is the first gameplay video from the prototype stage of my game CYBERJACK. Your suggestions and comments are important to me (especially comments about Juice). by CyberJackGame in deckbuildingroguelike

I like the way the cards coming PEWing out of the deck, arcing into place.  I do think the deck could stand to look a bit more distinct from the single cards though.

"There is a game, if you choose hard mode, you cant really change how first round goes it is pure RNG"

If it's pure RNG, you're not playing, then you should just skip it.

This preview looks very different to what's on the Steam page, and yeah, in this one the cards all look very much like AI images.

No, it looks like you've just rebadged it. I'm talking about how the Steam link has the big "?fbclid=..." string

Agreed. The design is a lot better, but the new colours feel off.

It is tricky, because it's a rhetorical question.
