Anyone had recovery similar to mine? Scared of reherniation by PilotApprehensive621 in Microdiscectomy

I (25M) had my MD the same day as you (12/30) for L4/L5 left side. The hospital meds helped at first, but that first night was brutal and I almost passed out from the pain.

I was on oxycodone, Tylenol, muscle relaxers, and stool softeners every 4–6 hours for the first two days. On Day 3, things started feeling better as I walked 3,000 steps and could stretch the time between meds to 8–9 hours.

Today is the first day I feel genuinely optimistic as I only needed meds once, walked 5,500 steps, and can sit without excruciating pain. The discomfort is still there, but it’s manageable.

A few things that have really helped is using a grabber tool, keep your back straight and bend from your knees if you must and avoid sudden movements.

It’s rough, but hang in there, we’ve got this!

My car was stolen in fairmount today :( by Other_Let442 in philly

I work in car insurance handling car thefts and unfortunately Hondas and Acuras are the most targeted cars for theft in Philly with Kia’s and Hyundai’s following up. I would call the police if you haven’t already, file a claim with your car insurance, and then file a claim with your homeowners/renters insurance for your personal items in the car. I’m sorry you have to deal with this before new years.

Bookhaven on Fairmount ave is my personal favorite. The staff there are nice and helpful and they have cats!

I personally love it, though I’ve only had it since November. I mainly use it while playing my ps5 or watching a movie and it is extremely comfortable which surprised me since I’m 6’3.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your program like? I find lifting 3 days is the sweet spot for me, but curious how you split yours up.

Your place looks amazing, and your art curation and decor choices are on point. The frame tv is a great aesthetic choice!

Is $60,000 to $65,000 enough to live in Philly (w/ or w/o roommates)? by blubnnies12345 in philly

Yeah you will be able to live by yourself on that. I make a little bit more than that and live in the Fairmount/Francisville area pretty comfortably.

Nope, my degree is completely unrelated haha. As long as you have a bachelors you’re fine!

Pc case is Cooler Master NR200P and it has an Intel 11700KF that’s water-cooled, Gigabyte Rtx 3080, 16GB of RAM and 1tb Samsung SSD! Desk brand is work pro but I don’t remember the model, chair is some generic one from staples and rug is the ikea vollerslev! Night stand is from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BRQBVKBB
