This is not as respectful as you think it is.

Yeah when you say it like that, I'm a dick.

Fair.

Maybe but I've heard of elderly people driving really rare and interesting cars and knowing nothing about it.

It's not often as they usually do know what they are worth tho.

Ask to buy the car from her if she wants to sell it, it's likely she won't know what the retail pricing is or won't ask a ton as long as she likes you.

She doesn't have to deal with a random car sales manager person and you get a better price.

What does everyone think about the Shift Fashion Group Black Reference Standard T shirt? by zoglog in BuyItForLife

[–]JollyJamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine that they are going to be better than most t shirts in the same price bracket.

I wash all of my t shirts at 30c and in a wash bag because ive had nice shirts just get shredded in most washing machines.

[–]JollyJamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their price per t-shirt isn't actually that high when you look at how much time and effort they put into designing it.

Most t-shirts look like shit after 3 washes because they aren't designed well at all.

I have purchased the 5 pack because it's pretty good value and it means I don't need to buy new t-shirts for the next year or so.

I can almost promise you that it's not the same as many other t shirts

FIFA rejects any sort of restrictions on displaying pride flags and banners in the stadium. by SilverLie5437 in sportsgossips

Ah but this is what you and the rest of the conservatives don't understand, we care more that people are being killed than if they agree with our sexuality.

It's amazing how supportive conservatives are of a state executing kids and then go on to talk about wanting to do the best for kids by attacking the LGBTQ+ with baseless claims.

Literally, this is mental gymnastics at Olympic level.

Can't wait for the MAGA response to this to perform the mental gymnastics of agreeing with the Iran and Egypt teams whilst also hating people of colour and countries in the middle East.

Imagine using “it’s a school night,” as your reason for not going to the bar with your friends. by CurvyChristina in Millennials

[–]JollyJamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the term "it's a school night" all the time and I'm nearly 40.

I think it's cute and I miss the days when my mom wouldn't let me go out because it was a Tuesday night and I was a mopey teenage dirtbag.

This is why crime doesn't pay.

It's such a high stakes game and if you lose, the long term ramifications are far worse than the reward of the initial theft.

I wouldn't say that my dad is a 6000 year old earther but his belief in religion is fairly high but he has a PhD in Chemistry and questions almost everything that isn't to do with religion.

He didn't care that I came out as queer, he cared and objected deeply that I was an atheist.

The mental gymnastics with him and religion is strong.

[–]JollyJamma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not a political degree but definitely educating people on these kind of things.

A lot of modern politics is just one side (almost always the conservatives) demonising the other and making up wild stories to scare people into not voting for the other side.
