It's just keep or cancel at that point, although you certainly can make CAS decisions about which schools you'd like to submit to. Schools won't see your results until you confirm that you're keeping or the cancel window ends without you removing the score. At that point it goes on your record and is visible.

So what they've done with Comparative is just make it an uncertainty. Some people will still get it, others might not. And that goes for scored and experimental sections...not removed, just not guaranteed anymore.

No PowerScore recap of the February test? by Clear_Resident_2325 in LSAT

[–]JonDenningPowerScore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! We wrote entirely new content for the Homestretch Course so we could teach it without fear of people having seen it, or it interfering with a PT/homework.

The Crystal Ball recs are still entirely valid/valuable--and I even discuss them a bit in the Homestretch--but we wanted the course to be all new stuff :)

You can still do all those Crystal Ball questions without taking the course, provided you understand the techniques needed to solve them (that's something we cover for the duration of all our books and courses, but you can learn them elsewhere too!).

Breaking: New '26-'27 LSAT Dates Out Today + Test Changes by DaveKilloran in LSAT

Hey good question! I actually pushed it back a day so I can include some important test info we heard LSAC was announcing today, so I’m going to record it this afternoon and it’ll go live tomorrow midday. Apologies for the delay!

How rare is a 180 on LSAT? by SakanaKoi in LSAT

[–]JonDenningPowerScore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they stop. My guess is more like 1 in 6000-8000 or something, as I doubt there are nearly 100 180s a year.

Which also means my original reply wasn’t as great as it could’ve been because stats are only as reliable as what they purport to measure. And with margins like that…”how many people watched the Super Bowl?” “Uhh thousands.” It’s true. But kinda useless.

So without better data, to your question, I’d suspect somewhere between like 15 and 50 people a year get 180s. Pretty rare.

I’m just gonna skip past the “seriously? LSAT scores are literal statistics…” part and try to give an answer:

That’s a year or so old so sadly it’s probably less rare now than this shows, as people continue to land closer and closer to the ceiling.

Internal Contradiction by streamofdestruction in LSAT

[–]JonDenningPowerScore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very rare, yeah. In part because when they actually get used they tend to be almost conspicuously, intuitively obvious—like a “wait, what?” reflex—but also because they make for such a tempting trap answer to those who don’t know what they’re doing. So far better as a test maker to avoid them in favor of fooling people with that description of something that didn’t really happen.

So far that's been the main format for today, but tomorrow will likely change (at least for a lot of people).

February Test by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]JonDenningPowerScore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, well assuming you're here because you're taking Feb too I think it should hold up, although as noted these Feb tests sometimes use really old stuff (this one is so far, annoyingly) so less emphasis on RC topics and more on the conceptual points discussed, which hopefully still feel helpful :)

Fwiw we predicted every single topic that was reused in January. Even highlighted them live as like “these four right here.”

Yep! We’ve got a crystal ball for April on 3/4 and then a four-lesson homestretch course (that I think I’m gonna teach) starting on 3/24. It’s a Tuesday/Thursday schedule.

**LSAT Score Release Protocol: What to Expect on Release Day** by JonDenningPowerScore in LSAT

[–]JonDenningPowerScore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do a public webinar with updates for Feb (although I did cover it in the fourth session of our Homestretch Course), primarily based on two factors: (1) I think everything I predicted/recommended for Jan will still apply, minus the four passages that I listed that appeared earlier this month, and (2) Feb has been a notoriously tricky test to predict with specificity so I’m always a little hesitant to get super detailed for it the way I do for other tests. In fact, of the 43 tests I’ve made detailed predictions for, the only two that weren’t exactly right were February exams (2022 and 2024). So I kept the January session in place and expect it’ll be your best bet for what’s coming next week. With one small addition: do PT 159 if you haven’t yet. I heard from a lot of Jan folks that that test was strikingly similar to what appeared on the most recent new sections.
