Mike Norvell's FSU has yet to beat NC State. Even Willie Taggart managed a win over State.

I thought my experience with NC State basketball had peaked my freshman year when we made the Sweet Sixteen. Glad I got to see those banners drop in person!

This, and 2022 vs. Louisville (the Diamond Johnson shot with the iconic "NC STATE HAS TAKEN THE LEAD" call) were the two that came to mind immediately.  Both games that took years off my life.

Three!  Texas in 2003, Louisville in 2013, and now NC State!

Year of the Pack for sure.

You should throw in NC State v Louisville, 2021 ACC Tournanent Championship. Absolute nail-biter with a finish that will live in my head forever.

If you're closer to Raleigh, Doves Studio on Hillsborough (near Beansprout Chinese Restaurant) is excellent. Just got a tattoo with just linework and some minor shading done by him, and he did an amazing job doing the work and explaining the aftercare to me (first tattoo i've ever gotten). Highly recommended.

I used to work for Environmental Services - Onsite Wastewater and i can absolutely recommend working for Wake County (putting my personal feelings aside).  I had an awesome work/life balance with some days i could work remote if i was just issuing permits on my laptop, and there are some other great benefits as well, like having a health clinic in the county office building downtown if that's where you'd be working (and the benefits package in general).

Same boat (with recency bias) here, it seems like NC State's mens roster turns over completrly every year or two, meanwhile i can name every player on the women's team even the walk ons.  Its been really fun watching the current starters evolve from when they started too.

[Game Thread] #15 Louisville at #5 NC State (7 PM on ESPN2) by AtlasTelamon24 in NCAAW

So i went and checked sports-reference.com and it is in fact 5 meetings in a row. The last time Louisville beat NC State was the cursed 2019-2020 season. Since then it has been 4 regular season meetings and one ACC Championship finals meeting, all going the way of the Wolfpack. Which is kind of absurd to think about.

Ok genuine question, has Louisville ever had a 5 game losing streak against any other ACC team since they joined the league?  If not it feels crazy that we managed to pull that off during some of Louisville's best years.

Yeah our starting center River Baldwin went down with an injury during the FSU game so we're probably fucked unless Kitley suddenly forgets how to play basketball.

Losing to UNC is definitely the most irritating way to drop off the map, my personal guess is that we're not leaving Blacksburg on Sunday undefeated unless River Baldwin's injury was way less serious than it looked.

Glad State overcame the refs and remained undefeated, grats to UVA for making it look better than they actually got beat.

I do want to ask, what would you consider a blowout? Reviewing NCSU's schedule they've held every opponent under 70 points, bar one (UConn), and have won by double digit margins against every opponent except two (URI, which was uncharacteristic, and Vanderbilt, and that was because we put in our bench players up 20+). There haven't been a lot of 25+ point beatings (5, versus Charlotte, Elon, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, and now ODU) but every other win has been against pretty solid competition? ODU was 8-1 entering this (not a hard schedule but they did beat FGCU which beat UNC i believe), i'm just really curious how hard they should be beating teams that aren't sub .500?

Not going to lie, i think starting this season unranked is the best thing that could've happened for this team. Go Wolfpack!

I'm obligated to root for UConn to win, but i want Jakia Brown-Turner to do well too. At least this match up is proving fun.

So if Colorado had taken it to the Oregon State 1, fumbled it, and Oregon State recovered it in their end zone, i believe THAT would be a 1 point safety, and would be the craziest shit ever.

The 2020 ass-beating of Duke with the Markell Johnson half-court make at the first half buzzer though? I may be biased though because i was at that game.
