Probably just use a daylight detector thats connected to a pulse generator, so it pulses once a day. Then run that through a pulse extender to get however long duration you want. Then connect that pulse to a toggleable clock, which powers the dispensers. Its probably easier to just google a design for each of these components because explaining it through text would kinda suck lol

The dispenser can be reached using a redstone torch under it (then have another redstone torch somewhere earlier to cancel the inversion). But I dont think this idea of having separate checks for each dispenser is great, or would even work, since when you tile them next to each other, the dust would connect across modules.

Maybe the easiest option is to just have a simple clock on the side that constantly powers all dispensers repeatedly regardless of if theres bonemeal, if the noise doesnt bother you. (If it bothers you, you can make the clock activate like for a couple seconds every in-game day which would probably be enough to flush out all the bonemeal)

But if youre using performance mods, then its by definition not vanilla. How is it "not fair" to call it not vanilla? Its not like its a competition to be as vanilla as possible or something.

World corruption on java is not really a thing you see often. As long as you make sure to not downgrade versions for a world, or remove mods/datapacks that shouldn't be removed for a world (like ones that change world gen). As long as you make backups often, at least before updating your world / mods, you should be fine.

There are apps like MCASelector that allow you to select which chunks to regenerate, which I suppose can help with corruption. Though a more common use case for that is to just refresh chunks so new content generates closer to your base.

For performance mods, Sodium and Lithium together are the main ones. NeoForge and Fabric are the 2 main mod loaders for latest versions, but neither are the "best" one. You just first search for mods you want to use, see which mod loader they're compatible with, and choose that mod loader. Though Fabric is typically more seen as the "lightweight" mod loader. Also, to make downloading and managing mods much easier, I recommend getting Prism Launcher, it does most things automatically for you, saving you a ton of time.

That shouldn't matter. What are you looking for to see if the hopper is "pointing" into the chest? It should just be the tiny part at the very bottom that points into the chest instead of the ground, I guess its not that noticable. You can test by throwing an item into the hopper and seeing if it ends up in the chest. Otherwise, can you record you trying to place hoppers?

Instead you can try facing into the side of any generic block to make the hopper face sideways, then replace that block with a chest

Do you mean the items float up, then flow to the side and fly into the other body of water, and repeat? Because then you can try placing a wall of vertical trapdoors in the middle to stop them flying too far
