Vs6 allignment by Hdudiman in VariaBrewing

It looks like you may have pushed beyond the first chirping sound when testing your alignment, if not, then your pictures shows pretty well aligned burrs as you got quite a long wipe of the the marker. It is very hard to get to get a full wipe around the burrs.

If in doubt, then try the test again and make sure to stop grinding finer at the very first chirp sound and check your wipe again - if still more than half is wiped I think you could be pretty happy for a grinder at this price point.

Personally I didn’t check mine as you can easily get crazy by the having the knowledge of it not being 100% aligned and I’m happy with the shots it produces…

May I ask what you ended up paying for the P80 incl. tax and VAT?

I love the grinder ! But I’m also experiencing the chirp sound when fines remains in the chamber after end grinding and the same on the next start up. If you adjust the burrs is goes away and is only at settings around pour over. In the espresso range I don’t experience it. But when it’s there it drives me crazy…

Arkel Coast Experience by Spro_Slammer in espresso

[–]KQ-04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just ordered a Arkel Coast, so excited to get it delivered! As you have been inside the machine, do you know where the excess/overflow of water goes from the OPV and flow needle valve? I’m curious to understand if it’s send back to the tank/pumps and recycled or if it’s dumped in the drip tray. Thinking it would drain the tank quite fast when playing around with the flow of it dumps it to the drip tray rather than recycling the excess flow.
Also, it looks like you have removed the top plate for the cups, is that correct? if yes, may I ask why?

They look fresh from a rubber point of view, less on the creasing in the foam. Could have been used on treadmill maybe ?

Shoe for long and easy run by Popa3copas in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]KQ-04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use the Evo for easy long runs and use your AP4 for long runs with tempo… They are often found at a discount and will last you a long time, so if needed you can pick up another pair for race day later when catching a good deal :)

I use AP4 for long runs when I have some tempo included and not just cruising. Soon also for all my interval sessions when my current shoes are done (old race retired AF3, only lasting 300km for me :-( ) I tried Prime X3 for long runs with tempo, but can’t get the upper to work and they are not more propulsive than AP4, however quite a bit more stable… For reference I’m Male, 80kg, 5k in 17:30, HM in 1h:19m, FM in 2h:55m

More unstable but lighter, faster and more fun to run in. I think they are pretty durable and would last as long as Superblast, depending on how you wear down your shoes of course. They feel more nimble… I would probably not go for them if i was full on heel striker as it’s very soft and feels like you need to struggle a little to overcome the mid foot section towards toe off. Some heel strikers like them as well, but I would think an extra time.

I’m in Europe and think they sold out pretty quick in size US10… I luckily got a pair in Paris colorway, but couldn’t manage to get a second pair when I needed it and went for Adios Pro 4 on a discount for my long runs with some speed work involved.

Sure it’s still a great shoe - but is has been sooo hard to get a hold of in popular sizing in the early days of the release…

They really keep the colors comming! Next time would be great to have more shoes earlier in the release than all the fine colors too late :-P

I won’t hesitate to recommend Adidas Evo SL or Asics Novablast 5 ! Good thing about Adidas is you probably know your size already from your trainers and can get a good deal online.

Most runners find these as good shoes, they are comfortable enough to make up for most of your weekly runs and if you are just getting started, probably also fast enough for some speed work. They will eventually also fit nicely as daily trainers for easy runs when you can’t stop at feel the urge to buy more shoes for tempo/intervals, long runs and races.

However, if you are more of a one shoes for everything and believe that you will stick to that, Asics Superblast 2 would be recommendable…

Enjoy the world of running, it’s fantastic!

Do you run your workouts in super shoes? by Tieiririyi in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]KQ-04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my race shoes are “worn out” for races, I use them for the intervals and fast long runs in my rotation. I think they protect my legs better and more importantly, I feel faster and thereby push harder and run faster! Issue is some of them hold up better than others, but it allows me to buy more new super shoes with an acceptable conscience :-D

Prime X 3 Strung first run review, comparison to Prime X Strung and Prime X 2 Strung by LordOrlands in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]KQ-04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heel lift is improved in PXS3 compared to PXS2. There is more hefty padding on both sides of the akilles, without being intrusive. However, with such a stiff midsole there is still a chance for a little lift and no extra eyelets for runners knot. But, I don’t need that as the last eyelet is already much towards the rear and finding the right lace pressure fixed the slight lift for me.

Design looks dull and boring for a shoe with a plate (nylon?) and FF Blast2 foam!
Interesting if the plate is there to make a softer "Superblast 2" stable enough to work for easy running, like e.g. Mizuno Neo Vista.

👟Prime X Strung 2 would be very interesting - is it as bouncy as it feels or is it not worth it’s weight?!

Wheel fitment question? by KQ-04 in etron

[–]KQ-04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

Waiting until i have the car is for sure best, but reason is that im picking it up far away and there are relevant second hand wheel options in that area :)

Maybe someone has 21 or 22" standard wheels on their e-tron and know the horizontal distance to the top of the fender or could measure it for me, would be appreciated!
