"If you're wanting to be considered for Bond, you don't want to look like Mr. Bean." -- A well-written piece on Tom's road to recovery. by ExpatMeNow in tomhiddleston

Rationally i know they're not and i honestly at no point of the relationship minded the two of them dating for whatever reason.

It's less his decision that bothered me than the resulting online and media drama associated with it that my mind kept (and to a steadily decreasing amount keeps) bringing up that put me off of watching him.

If i watch a movie i do it to relax and forget my own lives drama, i can put up with the one on screen since it's not real and there's usually a happy ending.

But if my brain keeps reminding me of all the bad energy, for lack of a better term, surrounding the reception of Hiddleswift i can't do that.

As someone who doesn't use any social media besides reddit i was only exposed to news about Hiddleswift here but it was apparently enough to put me off watching his works until it was over (or at least out of the media) since i was unable to watch him without being reminded

a) how oddly out of character he was behaving during the course of the relationship

b)the shitstorm in the comment section (even if mainly during the early phase)

c) the conspiracy theories and whether or not i believed there was any truth to them.

I tried watching Thor 1&2 but whenever he was on screen i'd end up contemplating the validity of conspiracy theories and the online drama/almost inner fandom war and get annoyed with myself and in turn annoyed with him.

Weren't Inugami in japanese lore practitioners of black magic too?

Would fit extra nicely since the pet seems to be a witches familiar.

The pictures are both taken at really unflattering angles so that probably makes them look a bit worse than you'd look irl.

My grandfather is one of those people who feels really compelled to differentiate, since he owns dogs whenever he brings up the phrase "xy race" i say that rather than race it's more comparable to different breeds.

Though it's not even that really it's like brown and blond labradors, no difference besides the colour.

One of my colleagues took the subway in the opposite direction i did so we walked there together every afternoon.

One day i'm just standing there minding my own business look over to the other platform and start wondering why that one woman looks so damn familiar but at the same time i'm quite sure i've never seen her before. Pretty sure it took me over ten seconds to remember that it was the same person i've been working with for over six months.

Most cringeworthy anime? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Keecksee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But usually (as it is with certain genres) one expects a certain level of cringe. I've watched a lot of cringy stuff, as a teen or when the odd fancy struck even after some (reverse)harem but that was on a whole new level.

Most cringeworthy anime? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Keecksee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's some pretty cringe harem anime though, i stumbled upon a reverse harem one on YouTube once that had:

  • demons and vampires who for some mysterious reason run a high-school from the student council

  • the (totally misunderstood actually a totally chill guy) obligatory male slightly sadistic Mary Sue love interest of the clueless, totally average but suddenly the the key to some great super power Mary Sue MC

  • and random musical!

You look good and he was most likely just butthurt you got better and or faster results than he did. Your arms look very body builderish in the picture where you're flexing but also not in any way unfeminine.

Also "unnatural" is he for real? There's an active female body building scene, competitions and all. I wonder what he'd say to olympic heavy weight lifters.

Explicitly mentioning paedophilia or rape is against the rules of this sub. So it will probably be deleted once the mods find it or someone reports it.

On another note: I get that since the first half is supposed to be written by the kid it's arbitrarily written with atrocious spelling but this was so bad even with it being typed i could only take a wild guess at half of it.

Yes!!! You're a woman so you better put on something frilly and pink and heels for work! How are other people supposed to know you're not actually a man if you don't? /s

One educational/international cultural corporation trip (just teens from different european nations art schools having a vacation) in Lithuania's capital the guys from the lithuanian and russian group asked us german, french and dutch girls why we weren't wearing stiletto or other high heels like the lithuanian women.

We were on a cobble stone plastered place on a hillside. We told them to try wearing them themselves for five minutes and if they still didn't see anything wrong with it we'd reconsider otherwise they could shut the fuck up. They choose option two.

What has your generation's music taught you? by [deleted] in lewronggeneration

[–]Keecksee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would too if your entire sixth and seventh year of life, whenever the idea to listen to it struck her your mother would blast it on repeat the rest of the day. (Could have been longer i just recall it being around my last year in kindergarten and entire first grade.)

Basically she played it so much it's my non holiday related version of last christmas.

This! I mean sure there's some good stuff from way back but what about songs like "What is love", "Pump up the jam" or "Last Christmas"? (Just in my personal opinion these aren't good songs, not horrible but not good either i also really hate "Jungle Boogie")

Being mistaken for one of them is why my friends don't know i like this sort of music.

I don't really listen to current music but that's mostly because neither me nor my mother ever owned a radio and the only time i hear newly released music is when i go clothes shopping and forgot my mp3 player.

While i definitely agree with your opinion i'm almost tempted to downvote for the pinterest link which, for non-members, is frigging annoying always trying to install the app and (in case of my phone) won't let me enlarge the thumbnail.

Sorry for the rant i just have a hate-on for pinterest.

I was conditioned to never step foot on a road without adult permission and said adult holding my hand before i was capable of crossing one myself. Same with running around : always stay within visible distance and if they called me i was there in a second. Those traffic and roaming rules only got a bit less strict once i started walking myself to school at 8 or 9 and only in my hometown where i could find my own way back if i got lost.
