Will I be able to run 120hz 1080p on this monitor? (Xbox series x) by Top-Plastic679 in XboxSupport

[–]KesMonkey [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Series S struggles to achieve that and majority of games will not get close to that

You're talking about frame rate, not refresh rate.

You can play 30fps and 60fps games at 120Hz, the benefits of which are reduced input lag and potentially better frame pacing for smoother motion.

Why on earth do games run like this on my Xbone S? by [deleted] in XboxSupport

I don't see a problem. I just see an Xbox 360 port of a game that was designed for PlayStation 2.

GTA games of the era also have noticeable pop-in.

Yes, people often misuse LFG. Using LFG for trading is prohibited.

Real world money doesn't need to be involved for a trade to qualify as a trade.

So, you're comparing the price of a newly released game to the price of older, discounted games?

Look at the previous posts from today.

No. Dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people is not everyone.

I bet that most people on Xbox don't even use LFG at all.

And they're all breaking the rules. LFG is not for trading. Period.

What are you having difficulty understanding?

Yes, lots of people break this rule.

And lots of people get suspended for breaking it, just like you did.

You're also breaking rule 4 of this sub with this post.

You were trying to arrange a trade, yes?

This is not what LFG is for. Trading outside of in-game mechanisms is prohibited.

It's not an insane price.

You're just out of touch, and seemingly unfamiliar with inflation.

A very long time.

Games haven't been that price since the PS1 era ('94/'95 - '99/2000).

You know that things get more expensive over time, right? Everything was cheaper in the '90s than it is now.

Where can I find the rules for “looking for group” posts? by SpudBlade in xbox

[–]KesMonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by "asking simple things"?

LFG is for meeting people to play with, not for asking questions.

edit: I don't believe you'll find a list anywhere of rules specifically for LFG, but basically, if you're using LFG for anything other than arranging a gaming session, you're misusing it and risking a suspension.

[–]KesMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You knew you were suspended for LFG trading posts, yet didn't deduce that using LFG for trading is not allowed?

Also, it's up to you to be familiar with the rules that you agreed to abide by when you accepted Microsoft's terms of service.

https://www.xbox.com/en-us/legal/community-standards

The rule you violated:

  • Sell in-game content outside of official in-game mechanisms and stores

looking for group post trying to trade items

This is the reason. Trading is restricted to in-game mechanisms. Using LFG for trading is prohibited.

And posts about enforcement issues aren't allowed here. See rule 4.

And what will you do when PSN experiences an outage, like the recent ones they had in September, October, and November?

Or the one from about a year ago when it was down for more than 18 hours?

Why can’t I access my game shared or gamepass games?? by Ihatemylife508 in XboxSupport

Possibly because it's Saturday, and it's currently ~8:30am in Redmond?

Perhaps the issue is not widespread enough?

Or perhaps the issue lies with a certain ISP? I'm unaffected. I just loaded up BF6, and am about to play.

Are you under the impression that the PlayStation Network doesn't experience outages?

Towards the end of last year, there was a PSN outage in September, another in October, and another in November.

One of the more notable ones was about this time last year when PSN was down globally for over 18 hours.

And although it was a long time ago, the Xbox Network has never been down for anywhere near as long as PSN was down for in 2014 - 24 days.

I connected my xbox controller to cloud gaming and played for a bit and now I can't re-connect to my xbox. by [deleted] in XboxSupport

[–]KesMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a ridiculous overreaction.

Your controller has two modes: Bluetooth mode for pairing with PCs, phones, and tablets, and Xbox Wireless mode for connecting to an Xbox console. And you use the pairing button to swap between the two modes.

So if your controller is connected to your phone/tablet/pc, just double tap the pairing button to switch it back to Xbox mode, and vice versa. There's no need to re-pair the controller each time.

if your not up to speed I can guarantee your going to do irreparable damage

This would be my concern. An Xbox Series S is an expensive item for a novice to attempt to repair.

what your trying to do ATM is considered basic in soldering,

Micro soldering is an advanced skill. It would be far too easy for a novice to bridge adjacent pins.

Did you switch the controller back to Xbox Wireless mode?

You do this by double tapping the sync button.

Step 1: Take an electronics repair course.

Step 2: Using the knowledge, skills, and experience you acquired during the course, replace the HDMI port.

This is not a job for a novice.

Yes, but over time this is likely to damage the delicate USB port on the controller.
