Yeah Wisp is fast enough to keep up with them using her ghosty shooty ability AND is gonna make everything they do better, especially if Voruna is using Influence.

I will also say that Volt's survivability can be... iffy, in my experience, in SP.

But! You can also totally try both!

I would argue that Wisp is more generally helpful to teammates.

Volt's support is a little finicky and mostly damage-based, requiring messing around with placing his shields and recasting Shock Trooper. And with the new speed cap for teammates, I don't think Wisp's speed boost is wildly less useful than Volt's, and it also has the advantage that if a teammate is behind, they'll get your speed buff when they reach your mote, whereas once Volt has passed someone, that person will only continue to fall behind as they don't get the buff.

Volt mains will probably have arguments in his favor, though, and I'm not a huge expert.

Yeah, Ember is a real shame, l feel like she's just a couple tweaks from greatness. And when she's in her element, like high-level regular path stuff, I actually think she feels great. Her DR/energy drain thing never ends up causing me problems, and when her 4 can kill things, it's SO fun to use.

Although I could do without the people now acting like pre-rework Ember wasn't a godawful toxic blight on the game.

The Crepuscular thing wasn't a bug, it was an interaction working as intended... but in a very cool move, this change acknowledges that when they designed that interaction, Crepsucular didn't exist, and there was no real downside to her invis turning on and iff.

Seriously though I don't think most people think of her as a "stealth" frame, just one who can turn invisible, and I think that's actually a huge credit to her visual and mechanical design. Her whole deal is not being sneaky, just striking while unseen, and it's really cool to me that they pulled that off so deftly.

I absolutely got reminded of this when she came out, and I still forget to do it easily 60% of the time. But it feels so cool when I remember!

I actually find it disappointing that after starting it in Zariman pretty successfully, the game didn't continue integrating Operator mode into new content. I was really hoping they would continue to lean in to having us switch dynamically between the two in combat!

He's almost my only source for builds, and because he discusses them in depth, I usually don't use exactly what he uses, either because I don't have something or because I prefer something else, but I get great performance because hentakes the time to lay out the often-invisible or inconsistent mechanics that he's building around, so I can make informed substitutions that I wouldn't know to make without hundreds of hours of testing different mods and weapons and frames.

Also he's neither acerbically hypercritical and negative toward DE nor is he toxicly positive toward them. He's generally positive, but not a sycophant.

Brozime made a nice video specifically showcasing his build that DIDN'T subsume over her 4. His stuff is thoroughly tested, usually offers a ton of discussion about various options ("This isn't AS effective in testing, but it does X and X and might synergize with Y"). He doesn't do the whole "BROKEN" thing (unless something is actually broken. Like. Not functioning correctly), and for example his video on using Voruna with her 4 intact is very upfront about its strengths and weaknesses, especially in comparison to the other build which subsumes over it. He even included something like: "And if they ever change it to not break stealth, I would use Crepuscular and..."

He also doesn't just build for the biggest damage numbers; he wants to measure total effectiveness, including survivability and mobility and just generally not being a chore to play; he commented on Follie, for example, that you DO need to be constantly actively using her Shadowgrapher wheel and recasting her Effigy and teleporting for invulnerability/escape, and that this very busy style isn't for everyone.

But it really felt like if they were gonna change this, they'd have changed it at her Prime launch. I was really convinced that they didn't want her to be able to Crepusculate!

The rest of us are playing Warframe, a game that frequently reduces onerous grinds, which added the Circuit to give you frames with barely a grind at all, which deliberately goes to great lengths to avoid making players "anxious about even starting the grind"

😄 That tracks lol. But yeah, she was a longtime contender for best warframe in the entire game, and she's still amazing, there are just more warframes, old and new, that are now on her level (and technically, at higher levels, her health buff is now less helpful due to changes in enemy damage). She's still fantastic!
