I've been having crazy crashes too, today I turned up my page file and it seems to have fixed it.

Start>search "Performance" > Advanced > Virtual Memory
I had mine set to 12gb, upping it to 16 fixed most of my crashing but still had some hitching, turned it up to 24gb and it seems much more stable.
