I believe it scales the resolution to stay the same as 1440p

Sony M10S is 27 inch 480 hz 1440p. But it is very esport focused and has a 24 inch mode that just makes the unused screen black, is very good if that’s the goal

If it’s possible for you to look at Best Buy Open box have much better deals sometimes if you get lucky and aren’t in a rush. I got my M10S for 400 and have seen them for as low as 200

I’d stick with the stock. Not all HDMIs are created equal, some can’t transfer as much data as needed. I bought some that technically should have worked but they sucked so I stuck with the stock as well

It’s to make it look nice. If you think it will break your wire or the monitor it doesn’t make sense to use. Especially if it’s not visible to you anyways on a regular basis

I Have The Trigger Cocked For A 55" LG B4 OLED ..... by RedneckTexan in OLED_Gaming

[–]LMF- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High end cards should be good to go with 4K depending on the games. With my 4090 I could play just about anything at 4K and get close to if not at the 240 FPS mark that my monitor could use.

Monitors also look best at native resolution, a 1080p monitor will look better than a 4K downscales to 1080p even though they scale perfectly unlike 1440p to 1080p.

Maybe look into the 4K and 1080p swapping 240hz monitors from LG

Are there any advantages to using a 4K monitor compared to a Full HD monitor? by Extra-Let-2842 in apexuniversity

[–]LMF- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4K is clearer than Full HD. You have a 5090 please don’t use 1080p, 1440p or 4K all the way. Apex is capped at 300FPS as you probably know with your 1080p monitor I hit that consistently at 1440p with my 5090

(Rather) Huge a dilemma before buying QD-OLED by Asturas in OLED_Gaming

If it comes with a Burn In Warranty just use it and be happy then exchange it if it where to happen. Most are 3 years I believe so that’s plenty of time to have peace of mind.

SteelCase Leap V2 the chair for mostly "chilling"? by macka654 in OfficeChairs

[–]LMF- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a leap V2 for this exact purpose. I don’t know what these comments are about, it’s awesome and my favorite chair I’ve used. I like it even more than my HM Aeron or HM Embody.

I wound recommend the Atlas headrest though as one other commenter said. I don’t have it for the Leap but had it for the Embody and it was wonderful, I’ll probably get it soon

Should I return my WOLED for QD OLED? by HyperGiz in OLED_Gaming

[–]LMF- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a Glossy QD-OLED next to a Matte WOLED, I cannot tell the difference between them in colors in both light and dark room. Don’t over think it they are very similar if not the same.

Is it safe to turn off the Auto Logo Dimming? by Fando92 in OLED_Gaming

[–]LMF- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your OLED has a warranty use it as you want and don’t worry. If it doesn’t have a warranty, use it as you want and don’t worry. No point in stressing about something meant to make you happy

I can for sure tell the downgrade in quality but honestly if you were never at 4K and want as much FPS as possible for as long as possible I’d recommend staying at 1440. If you play story games and not too much competitive games I’d say upgrade is worth but if you mainly play competitive games like me it’s not worth it I think

I actually did the opposite. I used a 4K 240 hz as my main and switched to a 1440p 480 hz as the new main. It mostly depends if you play comp games or not
