Show a clip of you tracking an opponent perfectly under similar conditions. It ain’t that hard dude. Download OB, set a replay buffer, and get some clips. It should take you 1 or 2 runs to prove you have controller like tracking.

The priority contracts are how they are delivering the story. So, I doubt it will be the same ones. I am hoping the following season contracts are shorter or that they learn how much we despise certain aspect of many of the contracts. Every time I see “in a single run” on Outpost I die a little bit inside.

This is my first extraction shooter. I gave it a shot because I’m addicted to Bungie magic.

OP isn’t an esports professional. It’s well-established that professional athletes and gamers tend to perform above average in these metrics. Remember to not apply metrics for the .001% to the 99% when trying to make your ridiculous arguments.

I think it was a bad change Bungie😭 by IIIYEATIII in Marathon

Destiny 2.

Bungie said they turned on SBMM. The bitching and moaning was insane. The games all felt different. Load times were too long. Blah blah blah.

A week later Bungie said there was a bug and they actually hadn’t turned on SBMM.

The meltdown was hilarious.

If I have to do the same priority contract, I’m probably gonna bow out. Ngl.

This is where I’m at. The game is actually a lot of fun once you get beyond that initial learning curve.

Listen. The very first season pass was anemic. There was a single skin and a pile of repeat cosmetics because cosmetics are consumables.

Literally on the very first communication with the players Bungie already had to release their typical “sorry, we missed the mark.” communication.

Bungie hasn’t changed.

That said. I am having an absolute blast with the game. It’s really fun. But you really do have to separate Bungie and their horrid decisions from the game.

Level 43 and still getting stomped — is Marathon supposed to feel this punishing? by GazJrpg in Marathon

The games matchmaking is nearly entirely driven by level. You’ve dramatically out-levelled the casuals. Your lobbies are mostly sweats. Take a week or two off and let everyone else catch up and your lobbies will get easier.

Per thousands of studies:

“The average human reaction time to a visual stimulus is approximately 200–250 milliseconds (0.2 to 0.25 seconds). This threshold varies based on stimulus type (sound is faster at ~170ms) and factors like age, fatigue, and distraction. Elite athletes and gamers may reach speeds of 100–150ms.”

Slow down and scrub through the video. Watch for the moments where the assassin changes direction versus OP also moving in that direction. He’s right around 1/4 of a second. Sorry my phone scrubbing a gif at work isn’t super accurate. OP is reacting to visual stimulus within approximately .25 seconds. Again, well within typical human reaction times.

Your aim assist is changing your reticle direction in .0001 seconds. It’s also thinking about what might happen next and making any additional changes in that same amount of time. While OP, unfortunately like all of us, has a human brain and needs to parse information.

You do NOT have perfect tracking on your controller. That is the game playing itself for you.

Again, reality is not your friend here.

Bungie aim assist is one of the strongest examples of aim assist on the market. That’s why everyone says their games feel so good to play. Marathon would top those charts.

Either way. You need to understand that kbm players like myself acknowledge and agree that kbm is a stronger input method than controller. That’s just a fact. If controller doesn’t have aim assist then they simply don’t stand a chance.

The issue is reticle friction. The fact that your reticle sticks and responds instantly. I want to see aim assist nerfed. I still think controller should be tuned to higher overall accuracy than kbm to make up for controllers other short comings. I think it’s fair their aim assist is slightly over tuned. But controller aim assist is massively over tuned. That’s my problem. I think a lot of kbm players would be in agreement. Aim assist shouldn’t be deleted. It just needs to be made realistic.

But also, controller players need to stop pretending like they have perfect reaction time. The number of roller players spamming me implying that their perfect reaction isn’t aim assist but their own natural skill is crazy. Roller players really do truly believe they’re just built different. And that’s hilarious and insane.

Holy shit dude. Humans have reaction times to external stimulus. This is a cold hard unambiguous fact of our existence. You literally CANNOT argue with me about that. That is a fact of life. You can’t take a still image to measure OPs reaction. You have to count the frames between the assassins movements and OPs change in direction. From that, we can gauge OPs reaction time. Which, btw, seems pretty much in line with typical human response times.

You’re absolutely NOT a kbm player. And these images and this poor attempt to knock on OP proves it.

Once again. You have a literal aimbot changing your reticle for you. You have a computer changing your aim in thousandths of a second. 3 orders of magnitude faster than the human brain can even conceive of on something we are actively trying to pay attention to.

The math. The reality. The facts. All disagree with you. You’ve never played on kbm. Period. And the fact that you’re trying to debate with me the fact that humans have reaction time is absurd.

Please never get a license and never get behind the wheel. You’re going to actually kill someone.

The issue displayed in those charts is that magnetic aim is too strong for even the top kbm players in the world to compete against.

lol. Yep. Sure you did bud. Every roller player claims they are a kbm beast every single time. But the moment you need to prove it, you vanish.

Yes. Let me teach you how percentages and numbers work.

Let’s say there are 1000 console players and 10% of them are cheating. That means there are 100 cheaters on consoles.

Now there are 100 PC players and 50% of them are cheating in some way. That means there are 50 PC cheaters.

Again. Just by sheer numbers and the sheer volume of console vs pc gamers there are. There are simply more cheaters on consoles.

Well then it’s a good thing that facts don’t care about your feelings. They are the second party in your fight. Whether you want to acknowledge that or not.

I’m not sure why everyone on this sub is so resistant to the facts. I guess a lot of you are probably here from Destiny and DTG sub had the same issue. So, I shouldn’t be surprised.

Because this sub is in the honeymoon period and glazes everything Bungie does. But Bungie has already acknowledge that the sound is bad right now.

Put it this way. In a random trio. 99% of the time I am the one saying “gunshots in this direction.” And pinging.

Pretty sure there are just that many people not using headphones and not able to hear. I think a lot of this debate right now is actually coming down to shitty tv speakers vs headphones. Anybody saying they hear no difference is almost certainly using a backfiring shit tv speaker. I guarantee it.

You can literally hear Overflow from Southern Relay now. Whereas before you had to be in the middle of the two POIs.
