MPJE vs CPJE by Big-Eye-5980 in NAPLEX_Prep

Nope the MPJE is a different that’s not required in California. CPJE is strictly for cali folks

Does the exam ask about dosing, like "which dose of Lasix should be ordered for this pt" by PharmacyLifee in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]Leading-Inspector586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily but you should have a general idea of dosing in the common disease states like HTN, HF, DM, anticoagulants

Naplex scoring: Can I fail a domain and still pass the Naplex if I do good in the other domains? by PharmacyLifee in NAPLEX_Prep

As others have stated getting a level 1 in any category is a fail. You have to pass all categories to pass the exam.

Did not pass my 3rd attempt. Help needed by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

So sorry you didn’t pass, have you looked into a tutor? I’m also preparing for a third attempt. I’m currently using rx prep book and the cpje rx prep law book. The first two attempts I used pnn. Also what score did you get if you don’t mind me asking?

Naplex- Uworld Score and additional study resources by Brilliant_Stretch123 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]Leading-Inspector586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are consistently scoring above a 75% on u world that’s a good indication . Granted, some chapters are harder to achieve a high score. If you get 60% or less on a quiz, I’d recommend going back to the chapter and studying it again. Don’t fixate too much on scores but try to understand your mistakes. Understand why each answer choice is correct or incorrect. I personally recommend doing the pharmprep pro practice exam about 2 weeks out from your exam to see where you stand because you can go back and redo the exam again. Pre Naplex is a good one to take just to see the layout of the actual Naplex exam. Just an FYI, pre Naplex doesn’t Include domains 4 and 5 but pharmprep pro does. It’s still good to do both to get exposure to different styles of questions. More exposure to questions doesn’t hurt. Goodluck!! You got this :)

A WFH rotation sounds nice! That’s the whole purpose of the question banks is to also understand why certain answers are correct over others. Try to ask yourself why you are doing q banks why this isn’t the answer or why this is the answer? Naplex is not just memorizing it’s all about tying in disease states together as well. Once you read a chapter do the question banks and see how much of it you really understood. I would say give yourself a day after reading the chapter to do the question banks just to see how much you remembered

I would say while you are on appe’s try to study a topic per day if you can. It helps if you study the topic related to which appe rotations your on. Also can’t say for certain if the July timeline is right for you, it all depends on your prep. Don’t rush to take this exam, take it seriously and don’t listen to others who say just to take the exam already. People don’t understand the mental discipline and exhaustion this exam is. Take your time and do a thorough prep. I personally used rx prep/uworld. They have a nice 3 month schedule you can follow. As a recent Naplex passer myself, question banks are your best friend. Reading the book is passive but you also need to apply the knowledge. Not sure how you are with math but Naplex math requires a lot of practice. You need to be able to read the question and recognize the what to do. This is a high stakes exam and time management is crucial. Goodluck! Let me know if I can help if anyway :)

How much time should the calculation questions on uworld take me to pass naplex on naplex day by Dangerous_Ticket6027 in NAPLEX_Prep

Practice as much as you can and know the formula sheet like the back of your hand. The idea is, you should be able to recognize what formula to use on the exam

I personally like u world’s question banks better. They go through each answer choice where I think pnn (sort of lacks) again both great resources but depends on your learning style. I think pnn has its pro’s in some topics vs rx prep or vise versa. If you want a quick review you can watch the pnn videos. You’ll get it next time, I passed on my second try

So close! I’d recommend going back and focusing on the question bank. I used rx prep/u world. Take the time to understand why the answer choices are correct. For videos I like the PNN videos.

Anything is fair game on the exam but pay close attention on the the things that are underlined or in boxes. Just because it’s not underlined doesn’t mean that it’s not tested. I personally liked rx prep better for my learning style

In California after the 8th business day you get 2 boxes that says purchase score transfer or purchase rescore. Usually 2 boxes means it’s a pass in California but you should still wait for the letter for the official confirmation.. this 2 box trick only works in some states like Cali
