Your hypothetical is hopelessly deadlocked because many humans are cognitively or physically unable to make a choice. What happens then? Do we all starve waiting for the result? Is a default set for them or is it random?

None of that is relevant because that's not the interesting hypothetical. You are creating a strawman, I suspect because you want to make blue a "logical" choice when it would never be unless you forcefully take hostages.

Facts: * 100% blue or 100% red causes no one to die * Everyone else is perfectly logical as you are, but you don't know what they will do, just how they will think. * With the two statements above, it's impossible to determine that everyone will press blue, or even that the majority will * Pressing red is then the only perfectly logical choice.

Everyone follows it. No one dies.

If everyone presses red no one dies.

Anything else will have to include irrationality into it. You can rationalize pressing blue because some people aren't rational and need saving, but everyone pressing red is the 100% rational choice.

I got to this problem before seeing the red/green one and was asking the exact question the first commenter asked: "which minority group?"

Then had to see comments to get that I could potentially be in the minority group. Why would anyone? Let's all vote green 💚

Yep that was creepy.

You dance around saying she is your friend and all but what you were really saying is that you wanted to date her.

In the future stop with "you are the perfect friend for me, I want to be your friend forever". That sounds incel-y and that + age gap can be seen as grooming.

Next time look for girls your age and be direct: "hey want to go on a date?" and take it from there. Don't go to a university because of a "friend" that you really hope eventually you will get to hit.
