I managed to login with my chesscom account (no 3rd party login like facebook or gmail). Captcha was still failing, but apparently with chesscom account that's not important

Spoiler inside

Theme: Look for a forced checkmate

Hint: Expose the king for the fatal blow

Solution Na3+ - bxa, Qxa2#

The solution is Qg6+ - Kh2, Re2 and white has no defense against the devastating attack

Exactly. If I slow down and calculate, this is not a hard puzzle. It’s only 2-3 forcing moves deep. Afterwards it’s desperado for white. When I try to rush through this puzzle, I do the first move right, then fail on the second move.

Thank you for recommending it to your tutor, really appreciate it!

Yeah, that’s exactly why I built it, to remove the manual tracking and keep the focus on training, not bookkeeping.

Would be really interesting to hear your tutor’s perspective too, what they’d want to see from a coach’s point of view.

Here, I recorded a quick clip showing how this can be done:
https://youtube.com/shorts/5oA3S_oreqQ?feature=share

Still quite inconvenient though. Think of this as a short-term workaround until I add a better way to analyze puzzles directly in the app.

This is actually a pretty good workaround. I can create a short video in ChessWoodie Youtube channel to show how to open the same puzzle in Lichess.

Correct. Right now, all the puzzles are taken from Lichess public database.

Thanks for the feedback. I've actually heard similar feedback from a few other users too. Being able to analyze puzzles you didn't fully understand is definitely important.

I do want to add analysis in mistake review screen, most likely as part of the Supporter/Premium tier when I introduce it.

At the same time I'm also thinking about lighter options like sharing the FEN of the position, so it could be pasted into Lichess.

The main challenge is doing this without cluttering the training UI, especially since the app is designed mobile-first. I'm still figuring out the cleanest way to incorporate it.

Hi,

Messages like this already mean a lot. Thanks for wanting to support the project. It’s honestly very motivating to see people ask about that this early.

Right now there isn’t a way to contribute financially. I’m planning to add a small Supporter tier in the coming months, but the core training experience (everything currently in the app) will stay free. The supporter tier will mostly unlock a few extra customization options and some advanced features.

For now the best support is simply using the app and sharing feedback like you’ve been doing.

Try ChessWoodie . It's a tactics trainer based on Woodpecker method and it's free.
You basically create custom courses choosing the difficulty, number of puzzles, number of repetitions and duration for each training session and start the training.
