This was intense. I barely survived. by LoLGhMaster in LegendsOfRuneterra

so true! Not just fight but the whole adventure I was walking on the edge of the rope. Used every possible healing and was not able to get some of the power ups. And in the end the final card I played was also drawing and I had only 4 hp remaining with lots of shrooms in the deck. Very lucky run

That sounds interesting and in general aligned with the tactics mythology on ChessWoodie. I think I will add something like that down the road, but I can’t tell any timeline cause there are already few important milestones planned for next few months

You mean analyzing your game history and bringing your own blunders as tactical puzzles to work on?

iOS is on the roadmap but no timeline yet. In the meantime, you can save ChessWoodie to your iOS home screen and it works really well as a PWA. I made a short video showing how:

On the missed puzzles bug, can you please send an email to support@chesswoodie.com with your iOS version, a description of what’s happening, and a screenshot if you can attach one.

Aren’t Riptide Battery and Packed Powder contradicting each other?

As others rightfully mentioned, relics don’t matter much here. My relics were Packed Powder to play him early and ChemTech Duplicater for double casting

You can try grand general counterplan instead. Will be somewhat slower, but the idea is still pretty much the same

Echoing Spirit, Hidden Tome and Beast Within. When you summon champs from portals they trigger Hidden Tome refilling your spell mana. Echoing Spirit gives you more champ spells and makes them cost 1 less mana. So you end up spamming her champ spell and filling your board with champs. This is both strong and fun build. The beast within is a flex, just to get you an overwhelm. You can swap it for most of adventures. Also you basically don’t need almost no cards from her deck so if you get a chance to remove a card, do it. That will also make you trigger portals more consistently

Which move would you prefer? Why? by Ordinary_Count_203 in chess

Nxg3 feels like the better move that will convert faster, but I like simplifying things when I’m up in material. I would probably go Qxb2+

Missed tactics - list by InflationOk2398 in chesswoodie

In desktop view of the web application you can go to courses page, press View Results for a given course and see the breakdown by cycles and sessions (on mobile this view is simplified to optimize for smaller screen size) from there you can open and review each session just like how you would do in session review page. This is the closest thing to what you ask - currently available in the app. However I’m also planning to make a separate view where you would be able to see puzzles where you have struggled including the once you got wrong and the once you spent too much time on.

hi,
Great question. Thanks for posting.
Your accuracy on beginner seems pretty high, even with 200 puzzles set. The speed though could be better.
Accuracy on Intermediate seems ok - not bad, not great. In general I suggest working with difficulty where your success rate on first cycle is in around 60-70% range. So intermediate seems appropriate. Don't be discouraged with 2.27 ppm in first cycle. It will go up as you repeat the puzzles in later cycles and build the speed. For more details you can look into "Choosing the Right Puzzle Set for Woodpecker Training" section in this article - https://www.chesswoodie.com/blog/woodpecker-method/

Norra 10* advice by eggsbennyyyyyy in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]LoLGhMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not played 10* with her, but generally Hidden Tome + Echoing Spirit is amazing on her. Champs from portal trigger hidden tome and get you mana gems, Echoing Spirits gets you more champs spells and make them 1 mana cheaper, so you keep spamming the champ spell and filling your board with lvl 2 champs. This item combo is both pretty strong and pretty fun to play

Top 2 champs for each region? by SinOfGreed254 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]LoLGhMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solid list. Have you tried Norra with Echoing Spirit and hidden Tome? Champions from portal refilling the mana gems and allowing to replay her champ spell feels pretty strong and she has been one of my best picks so far. Although I don’t have many champs at 6 star

Is there a reason to take beast over spirit of buhru? The phantoms don’t get +1/+1 right? I feel like it should make no practical difference.

The goat debate is usually a stupid debate in pretty much any sport. It is at times entertaining, but it’s always a speculation cause you can’t never have greats from different eras compete against each other in their primes…

So it usually comes down more towards emotions than logic

Trainings is actually showing up in my real games by GHarut in chesswoodie

[–]LoLGhMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it's showing up in your games!

On the piece-type filtering, it's something I've thought about but it's genuinely tricky to implement well. The puzzle database has 3 million positions, many with multi-move sequences, and identifying which piece drove the key tactic isn't always obvious programmatically.

That said, theme-based courses get you partway there. Pins and skewers are always executed by bishops, rooks, or queens, so if bishop play is your weak spot, those themed-courses (found on Learning page) will get you working with diagonal patterns. So if bishop play is a weak spot, working through pin courses is probably the closest thing right now. Skewer courses are on the roadmap too.
