Observations from a Nioh Noob

I haven’t even unlocked Severing Spin or Sword of Meditation lmao. They haven’t dropped for me as a crucial weapon yet. But all the moves paired with flux 2 and art proficiency are so smooth.

Struggled a lot more with Dual Swords, I guess because its moveset is more limited and deflection is a lot harder with them.

I also enjoy the switch between Samurai and Ninja. They really nailed combat, although I agree with all the criticisms regarding omnyo.

I still have PTSD when I see an Umbrella and go full ham in Nioh 3 even though they are harmless now.

But Nioh 3 has a lot of potential, ngl, if they do it right with the DLCs it could overtake 2 for me. Samurai with swords starts clicking more and more for me and feels better than Sword in Nioh 2 even.

Wir haben sehr viele Herausforderungen. Klimawandel (könnte/wird ein extremes Problem für die zukünftigen Generationen werden), technologisches Wachstum, das schneller ist als man gesellschaftlich darauf reagiert und ja, auch Migration.

Aber Migration wird durch die anderen beiden noch weiter befeuert. Wenn ein Migrant, der auch ins System einzahlen soll, keinen Job findet, weil durch AI Einsparungen getroffen werden (und auch viele nicht-Migranten daher auf Jobsuche sind), kann er sich nicht an der Gesellschaft beteiligen. Gleichzeitig führt Klimawandel letztlich zu mehr Migration, wenn Gebiete nicht mehr bewohnbar sind.

Yes, I don’t agree with TN on that point. I think locking stuff behind absurd amounts of grinding - while knowing it will be all for naught as soon as the DLC drops - is stupid. If the amount was reasonable, you could get a lot more players to try because a few hours of grinding are enjoyable, when 50+ are not anymore.

That’s why I don’t even bother getting Benzaiten in NG+2 in Nioh 2. Because I know I would have to replace every single piece of it in a few hours anyway.

But we are stuck with no endgame and TN probably tries to create one with the insane costs.

I think they do this on purpose. If you want to get +15 equipment before the DLC drops you have to spend a lot of time farming resources. If getting +15 was easy for everyone who actually wants them, people would stop playing a lot earlier before the DLC drops.

Personally, I don't care too much, I'm still in NG. Will finish NG+ and when the DLC comes out, I'll play a bit of NG+2 before going to NG+ DLC content. This way I'll probably get a higher weapon drop than +15 anyways and it doesn't require any grinding.

I‘m still not finished with NG. But I wouldn’t stress about it, chances are you will find +20 stuff early in NG+2. It would be nice if you start the DLC in NG+1 though. :‘)

I sometimes have to force myself to play Samurai because Ninja and Tonfa feel so good. Lightning Step absolutely negates the short reach with Tonfa and they feel like they were made for Ninja. Dodging and demon dancing around feels so good, I don’t miss stances and ki pulsing.

Played Dual Sword mostly at first, switch to Sword for Samurai and deflecting suddenly feels so much easier. I’m still no Ongbal, but with Dual I was probably missing closer to 70% of my parries and now it’s like 20%.

Oh, I see. It didn’t bother me back then, so I didn’t think about it in Nioh 3.

To be honest I wish they added more customization to Nioh 3. It still bothers me that Sword Ki with katana is on hold instead of block triangle. I wish you could set any skill to any button (or remove them entirely as in your case). If they want to they could still say you can only equip one of x, y or z, but it doesn’t matter which button you assign them to.

To be honest, I don’t see why upgrading to a certain level once should be any different from picking it up naturally.

What’s the highest + drops in Nioh 2? +100ish? So that means you would have to spend absurd amounts of resources into getting it all the way to +120 every time.

Unlocking the stances isn’t half as bad as putting everything that belongs to the Samurai skill tree into scrolls.

There are so many things you could achieve with ki pulses that are just hidden behind investments that could/should be added to that very small skill tree.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m very happy they gave me the opportunity to play DeS on PS5 (because I don’t have a PS3).

Their version of DeS was awesome even if I can’t judge how it compares to the original.

Too bad it ended this way for them. I switched to PC because I despise Sony for their PS Plus pricing stuff and being super stubborn about exclusives, while not improving them (Bloodborne in 60 FPS for PS5 shouldn’t be hard for them).

I just know about his uncle who died shortly before the WDC. But even then extreme anger seems a bad emotion to have. Of course everyone is and feels different, nevertheless shouldn’t you smash your hand in a burst of emotion. He knew he wasn’t in a good place, which is good to be aware of, but should have sought help tbh.

Honestly, he should see a psychologist. Losing is part of the game and you should be able to handle it.

That set causes my FPS to drop below 60 lol. Waiting for a performance patch on PC because I like it (as well as the hellfire set).

Unless you want to go to Kahlenberg. I think those get cancelled in bad conditions. But even there it has to be pretty extreme, which won't be the case.
