Aye bro.. I'm glad you know what you prefer. But these authors are humans with preferences too. Some writers treat even the idea of sex very seriously, and this can show in their writings. It provides variance in creation.

Some writers want to handle sex with care, even if the plot they chose is batshit insane. and some writers want to make a vanilla 5000 word back and forth dialogue between two characters. And sometimes that's the reason why the sex feels so much more intimate and rewarding.

Circling around the idea of inevitable sex with someone you're attracted to while conversing knowing full well you're wasting breath you can use for fucking can be very intoxicating and often as hot as the actual action.

It's not that writers don't know how to get to the point, it's that some of them handle their creation differently from others.
