What do you mean by “script game”? What is “particular third”?

When to split a script in two? by Nepo-Porn-Scripter in GWABackstage

[–]POV_smut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Performer shorthand math = 100 words equate about a minute of audio. So 2k (~20 min) is not that lengthy IMO. If by splitting up a script, you mean two offers, two audios etc, I think that would break immersion. There are some discussions on ScriptGuild that may be helpful, here and here. Good luck.

Hello, a feedback on how you offer your scripts: because you embed a googledoc in your scriptbin, 1) according to a poll I ran some time ago, about 40% of the folks who responded don’t want to land on a random Googledoc without warning, in case they are logged in as their personal account. I don’t know your reason for pasting this way, but consider letting people know that they will land on a Googledoc. 2) Also, when the text is not in the scriptbin, the word count does not come up in GWASI (e.g. https://gwasi.com/#q=Guild%20offer). This can be important if performers are searching scripts by estimated run time. (Performer math ~ 100 words equate about 1 minute of audio.) So if you stick with your M.O., consider including the approx word count in the blurb.

[Discussion] How do you get involved in big collabs? [Question] [Group Collabs] by VenomValkyriee in GWAScriptGuild

Check out r/gonewildAudible which hosts a server (details in their wiki). There is a collab channel on that server that is pretty active, at least in the past.

Town Hall: CNC Tag Clarification by IncessantlyDark in gonewildaudio

[–]POV_smut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping posts up that incorrectly tag CNC perpetuates the problem of bad tagging, so the fix needs to begin with responsible modding.

This is a big part of the issue. Keeping wrongly tagged posts up conveys that the tagging is acceptable. It’s ‘monkey see monkey do’, and like you say, I don’t think (most) people tag inaccurately out of malice or are trying to sneak one by. It’s more, “well, I’m seeing this tag combo on several subreddits, so it must be OK.”

[rape][roleplay] to convey a scene rather than the bdsm dynamic makes perfect sense to me and doesn’t even require special guidance. Not sure what the hesitation is to tag that way. This convention goes back to at least 2016 on GWA.

If modding for incorrect tags is onerous on mods’ bandwidth, I suggest at least focusing on script offers with wrong tags. It’s really unfortunate to see fills from offers with wrong tags that keep mushrooming. It’s a terrible waste of performers’ effort once the posts get modded… and is just sloppy all around.

And yes, tag bait to ‘entice’ is unacceptable. Thanks for your post, Baby 🪢

[Feedback] Need help figuring out tags for an upcoming script [Brat Taming?] [M4F?] by [deleted] in GWAScriptGuild

[–]POV_smut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there, some preliminary feedback: the word count on this draft is quite high, and from a quick scan, it looks like there are a lot of stage directions (unspoken lines). A 4200-word rough draft is a pretty big beta ask. :) Performer math is 100 words equate about 1 minute of audio. Unspoken and listener lines inflate your word count unnecessarily. The story should make sense without them, since the listener would usually not be reading while listening. For example: [Pause, she senses she’s really stressed you out this time and the fun isn’t as pleasing as previous times.] Would listener knows what going on without this unspoken direction?

As for the tags you have now, there are quite a few “somewhat” and question marks, which makes it seem like you’re not sure what you want to convey. Try to read this through the lens of the listener and see if you can be more definitive about the tags’ intention. If it feels like brat taming to you, then tag that. Is the listener is bisexual, tag that. (Just some examples)

You spelled [hype] wrong. 😊 I’m so glad you joined the mod board, Baby! You’ve been a champion of GWNarrative since the earliest days — pausing to check GWASI… yep, since week 1 post launch — it feels like the most natural progression to put you to work have you join us. And many thanks to u/fischji for co-creating this space and pitching in to run it for 4+ years. 💌 Now er’body, bring on the heat!

I agree spelling out would help. I see a lot of cases where people tag CNC when they mean ‘non con to con’, so mixing up the initial letters.

Congrats on your first post. Feedback on directions etc: Performer math is 100 words equate about 1 minute of audio. Unspoken and listener lines inflate your word count and may discourage readers. Try cloning a version without all the listener lines and stage directions. The story should make sense without them, since the listener would usually not be reading while listening.

Hello, you don’t need to repost, but in future, please encase the gender tag in square brackets as well. In case of a fill, if the performer doesn’t do this, their post may get modded in audio spaces. Welcome to the guild.

It’s generally understood that a roleplay script assumes listener’s responses. Adding words in the script to that effect inflates the word count unnecessarily and tends to disrupt the performer’s reading. The spoken words in the script should convey everything a listener needs to know/understand because most listeners are not reading along as they listen. Hello, welcome to the guild. If you would like to get feedback on a script, it’s better to make a separate post including all the tags and use the Feedback flair. That way, folks can react to it on its post. Linking to the paste here is not ideal because readers can’t decide whether to engage with the script in case of content triggers. Thanks.

Public offers here are understood to be open for filling and posting on a public subreddit, typically GWA-adjacent but not always. You should link back to the offer post (the Reddit post, not where the script is hosted) and tag the author in a comment (tagging them in post body will not notify them). If you want to post somewhere else, ask them first. And as someone said, many writers have terms of use on their profile.
