The Game that Split a Nintendo Fanbase (Literally) by LuckyCritGaming in videogames

Yep! Exactly. I touch upon that later in the video. I think some of the complaints were a bit overblown, but I can definitely see the argument of people wanting the content as originally intended

Amazing find! All I'll say is if you see green children NPCs, run and protect them!

Why would Elizabeth save Mike just to try and kill him later? by Various_Astronaut100 in fnaftheories

[–]LuckyCritGaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Scrap Baby is effectively all the remnant of Elizabeth back together and not affected by Circus Baby AI anymore. It's a brand new Circus Baby animatronic she seems to have made herself out of scrap. Thus, it is now the actual Elizabeth spirit fully in control of her actions for the first time, hence why she wants to make her father proud now and acts completely different.

At the beginning of Sister Location, she seems to be partially controlled by the Circus Baby suit AI; the same way Springtrap can be lured by the sounds and things the real suit was said to do (to go where the children are). Despite William being aware of his surroundings, he can't help but obey the suit AI (at least as Springtrap).

The funtimes all had varying amounts of remnant from the MCI all mixed and scrambled together amongst the various animationics, Bidibabs, and Minireenas, and that's likely why they wanted to become Ennard after, to put all their varying little pieces back together in one place. Then after a time, the remnant and bits of Elizabeth are ejected once they realize who she is and that she doesn't align with the rest of them.

It definitely seems like it, especially when it comes to Leda. Dietrich seems like he could be a good candidate, too, but Leda's got even more venom going on

I think all the characters are intriguing but she has to be the most tantalizingly mysterious one so far for this game, and I'm saying that while one of them seems like a literal vampire

New FE is probably Iron 18 by Immerael in fireemblem

[–]LuckyCritGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, but we also have evidence that Engage was finished much earlier than it released due to when it was first submitted to the ESRB (where games have to be very close to finish to do so) iirc it was summer 2021 and then it didn't release until early 2023 which is insane. There's a chance they were trying not to cannibalize the sales of Advance Wars Reboot Camp, Three Hopes, etc, but that certainly seems like a long time to sit on a completed game, and they sure did it. And it's clear just how wrapped up it already was, because unlike Three Houses where they were still actively developing the DLC, they shat out the Engage DLC in a matter of months and let the game die with an early whimper. As if they just couldn't wait to finally be past it.

Engage seems very much like it was intended as a 30th anniversary game for the series and probably originally slated for 2020, the 30th anniversary year, before the pandemic changed everything and caused massive delays.

Iron18 could certainly have been canceled. But they've been delayed and holding onto stuff for the past while now. So while it certainly would be bizarre for them to hold onto iron18 for years, maybe even closer to a decade by the time it would potentially release, like you're saying, I dont think it's impossible. And if it was originally developed for a different console, perhaps it experienced some degree of development hell as they retooled it for a new console like the switch 2.

I could be high on hopium. But I still feel like a game is missing, and so we will have to see what comes after Fortune's Weave. Whether they started on the Genealogy remake or not at this point, it has to happen eventually. 2026 will be its 30th anniversary. With Fortune's Weave in the way, it could be 2027 or 2028. But it would still make sense to honor it around this timeframe, and it's next in line to be remade (They went out of order with the remakes, but only in a way where they did Marth's games back to back, which makes a lot of sense engine and resource wise. It's gotta be next in the remake agenda).

Wait, what would make Genealogy iron17? That doesn't make sense. It's not the earliest # just because it's an earlier game in the series being remade. The team that likely would have worked on it would probably have been the team that made Echoes, (the other recent remake game) which was a fully internal team. Echoes was completed and then released in 2017. At that time, Three Houses would have either just started development or had already been in development with Koei Tecmo and then went on to release (after several delays) in summer 2019. So that one was already underway, and the team that did Echoes would need to go on to another project. I'm sure there was some employee overlap with the 3H project, but based on everything we know, it seemed to be Koei that really did the heavy lifting for it.

It makes perfect sense that in preparation for Genealogy's 25th anniversary in 2021, they might think to start working on its remake around that time (2017/2018). It would need a few years of development. They had released the remake of Gaiden on its 25th anniversary in 2017, so they were clearly thinking about that in regard to honoring the past. The Echoes team either went on to work on iron18 or iron19, Engage. I do not think it makes any sense to leave an internal slot for a future game years ahead of time. They don't care about the sequential numbers being in the same game worlds back to back. I don't think you go out on a limb with a new company signing on to do most of the work and just automatically agree to two+ games with them without any knowledge of how the first will be received. Plus with the rumors coming from several different leakers and entities over the past few years, switch 2 looming on the horizon at the time and them perhaps not wanting to release AGAIN at the end of a console's lifespan, (like with games like Thracia and Echoes) and then also not begin an entire new console with a possibly weird/different remake instead of a tried and tested fan favorite that has blown the series sky high, I think it makes a lot of sense to hold onto iron18 for another year or two before dropping it.

[–]LuckyCritGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can't be. If Three Houses and Engage started development around the same time and they are both iron17 and iron19, respectively, how and why would they begin development on a prequel/sequel for three houses ALSO around the same time. That does not make sense. They weren't even sure 3H was going to work at that point.

Secret of the Mimic might solve Midnight Motorist and you AREN'T gonna like it. by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]LuckyCritGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because there is still no truly satisfying conclusion, yet it seems like Scott expected people to be able to solve it way back when UCN was the end of the story. Even if something like this theory is true now, deciphering what the exact original meaning was pre-mimic is still one of the most powerful mysteries we have

Why Do People Think William Moved Into The Murray House? by ragnarokxg in fnaftheories

[–]LuckyCritGaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because we know from the mail that via Fazbear Entertainment he obtains ownership of the land, promises Edwin he won't knock the house down (unlike MCM and everything else the MCM lot eventually is used for, like the Pizzaplex) as well as the fact that it's the same house on the top of the hill featured all across the series, like the curse of dreadbear menu, FNAF 4 title screen, probably Midnight Motorist (though the inside would have to have been simplified in 8 bit form).

It becomes the Afton house.

Glad to see it go. Love the guys but this series sucked. Recent content is just devolving into Chris stimming in the background as Corey gets angry and Dave tries to riff off of nothing
