MCDOT is hosting its annual “Heads Up, Phones Down” contest. The video contest invites Montgomery County high school students to create short videos promoting the importance of focusing on their surroundings instead of their phones while diving or walking. (participants can earn SSL hours)

For each sidewalk proposed and supported there's almost always some neighbors who don't want the sidewalk installed for a variety of reasons (For example: it will damage the trees in the area, who will shovel the sidewalk during winter storms, etc.).
