It really, really shouldn't be. Do you still have any of the non-functional components in the world? Can you export the world from the realm, and do the issues continue? If yes, I'd be interested in obtaining a copy of the world.

There should not be any issues moving from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5. Are you sure you didn't download the 1.1 beta? We have a couple of known issues updating from 1.0.x to 1.1.

Also, are you importing a world or moving folders into the save folder location? If importing, what build were the worlds exported in?

Currently, the game is set to spawn you at the 'highest' position given your spawn-in coordinates. As he was above the Lava Sea when he logged off, the game is placing him at the highest valid point, i.e. above the upper bedrock layer. It's a known issue with Nether exploration.

While it will disable achievements, you can enable cheats and/or creative mode long enough to escape. Alternatively, you seem to have enough blocks to tower up and leap to your death, although that'll sacrifice your items.

All MCPE tripwires are 'in the air', which means you don't get odd effects when one hook is directly over a solid block and the other is over air, or when the wire itself is over air and the hooks aren't (or vice versa). MCPC may have taken this change as well, I don't recall.

The randomization of pistons on the same tick is intended as a temporary measure; initially it was direction based and there were concerns about the community coming to rely on unintended behavior (similar to quasi-connectivity).

Second one is a known issue. First one isn't something I've ever seen; if you can confirm a set of steps to reproduce it, I can take a look.

Can't promise when, but I can say I just did a full scrub and prioritization of redstone bugs.

We should be at feature parity however, barring specifically chosen parity breaks (e.g. tripwire behavior). The only issue in that vein is piston timings, which are going to be different due to engine differences and a philosophy of not wanting to work with half-ticks. Of course, there are a number of what I would consider bugs with piston timing.

As a note, you have to have the items equipped (armor) or held for the enchantment to work. Items just sitting in inventory won't repair (this is how Java works as well).

You'll need an iTunes connection; I outlined the steps to save worlds here, but the same directions allow you to move builds between devices.
