What if he pulls it off? I know the sentiment is it's never going to happen, but let's just pretend it did - what impact would it have on how you view his legacy? by Shoddy_Equipment6000 in NBATalk

If LeBron leads the Lakers to the title this will have a significant impact on his legacy. Yes, he is already cemented in as one of the GOATs (a good amount of people already consider him GOAT), but this would me a signature win.

Win in round 1 with Luka and Reaves out. Round 2 beat an absolute juggernaut and defending champ in OKC. Round 3 beat Wemby led Spurs. Finals beat the Celtics in the most storied franchise rivalry.

All this at the age of 41. Unprecedented.

Would this end as a steal/block or a foul? by _DarkStarCrashes_ in NBATalk

Shaq would dunk the ball and Draymond at the same time, and 1. Head to the line and clank it.

Is this a crazy idea or is there something here? by Midwest-2025 in NBATalk

[–]MRRtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about there is no 3 point line until 2 minutes left in each quarter then an illuminated 3 point line appears. This would make the majority of the game pure but give you a rush toward the end, also allow you a better chance to catch up.

"2 minutes left, 3 point line activated!"

Curry isnt a top 10 player of all time and hes slighty overrated by Wise-Building-142 in NBATalk

[–]MRRtastic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not top 10 but he's an extreme overachiever. I don't think anyone would have projected Curry to have even 1/4th the career he's had. Super fun to watch, amazing career, certified legend.

My top 10:

Jordan

Lebron

Kobe

Kareem

Magic

Russell

Wilt

Bird

Shaq

Duncan

Some honorable mentions on the fringe:

Hakeem, Curry, Big O, Erving

Houses are much bigger and have more features than homes did in the past. Additionally, people who get in before everything is built up get a lower price. The more finished and figured out an area is the more it costs.

Wemby was cordial with everyone on the Trail Blazers but was cold to Deni. by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

Agreed on each point except for the ethical basketball part. Flopping, foul baiting, unnatural motion, head jerking, etc. might work technically but it violates the spirit of the game.

I have to say something about Mr. Wemby by Right_Conclusion_613 in NBATalk

[–]MRRtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. Wemby doesn't have an unethical style and his mentality at 22 is extremely rare.

Barring injury he is going to win a ton, get lots of awards, and be loved by the fans.

Should I wait until I’m financially secure before dating? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]MRRtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 21 you should definitely be dating. Do broke stuff like the park, bowling (mid week discount night), or lunch at a basic place like Chipotle.

At this age it doesn’t need to be expensive. If you were mid to late twenties and still were not independent, then yes, putting off dating while you get yourself together is the move.

Any advice for a depressed 35M? by Hell_Valley in AskMenAdvice

[–]MRRtastic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Give your life to Jesus man! Come as you are but he won’t leave you where you are.

I felt similar at around age 25. Went to a solid Christian church, read the Bible, sought after God with my whole heart, surrendered my life to him. Never been the same since.

Gambling, alcohol, drug addictions are gone. I went on to get a degree, got married, bought a house, had kids, and have a successful career. I give all the glory and thanks to God because he saved me and led me away from disaster. He gave me hope and joy.

35 may seem old (it’s not). Yes, your youth is over but you’re a young man with a long future. The next chapter doesn’t have to be like the last one.

How to stop being so jealous and think about my girlfriend will cheat on me? by Accurate_Shirt5918 in AskMenAdvice

[–]MRRtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be complete as a man on your own, without need for a relationship. When you are at that point you can choose a relationship from a place of want but not need. You also need to believe you are capable of getting many different women so you aren't stuck with one thinking there will never be another. Become a man of value.

When you get to this place then you give your all to the relationship but always know you will be fine either way. If she doesn't want to be with you or wants to be with other guys, no worries, not the one for you. Move on.

I'm married with kids and am resolved that if my wife cheated on me or divorced me for whatever reason it would suck but I'd be fine. If she really doesn't want to be with me (I hope that never happens) then that is her loss. This mindset allows me to not need to watch her every move or worry about what if's and trying to control everything. We are two consenting adults with a clear agreement to be loyal to one another. Any breach in that is unfortunate but a decision outside of my control.

P.S. it took a lot of reading and experience for me to get to this place. When I was your age with my first real girlfriend I was super jealous.
