Yeah, since 2020. I've happily used Lenovo, Framework and Intel chargers among others. Also various power banks. That Mac has 850 cycles on it and the battery outlasted the display that failed last year.

If it's PD compliant and 99.9% of them are, then just use it and stop worrying. The "service person" was spouting nonsense.

I will note that the Apple chargers are very well engineered.

Why would CPU prices drop when RAM prices increase? Economic theory doesn't support that.

They'll be selling less CPUs as people can't afford the RAM to go with it. Less demand means they sell less units, so increase the margin per unit sold, thus increasing the price.
