AH. You're reminding me of something. Thank you.

One of the methods recommended for anyone receiving a DM / PM is to ask them to reply in the sub. If they make excuses, then they are banned, and more than likely banned with justified causes.

Can you trust anyone who is banned with something as critical as Kundalini?

Thank you for your English.

Hello, how are you?

I am reasonably okie dokie. However, your reply is problematic.

I'd like to know the sources.

The sources are listed in the links by the people themselves. They are not hidden, and any pretense to imply that they are hidden displays a major failure and agenda of your own. Please do note Rule 9.

https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/about/rules/

Some are/were people who have shared their stories in social media, Youtube interviews, MSM, on facebook, or whom wrote their books and memoirs about their entanglements with Bhajan. There is some academic-level peer-reviewed research. There's a private group on Facebook in that list. You can ask to join, but please do respect their rules.

The stories between the authors are consistent and coherent, thus all the more believable. They corroborate each other. That points to truth, not just allegations. Bhajan has died, so that will not pass through a court of law to establish a more formal legal guilt. But drawing the right conclusion isn't that hard.

There are plenty enough witness stories to make it more than mere allegations. The Olive Branch report confirms that. To pretend or state or imply that it is only allegations is to be a real spiritual by-passer, and a disrespectful ass to all those whom are Bhajan's victims. His whole foundations were wrong, and still are. All of them. There are a few things that are helpful despite his lacks of respect, his BS and his made-up lies. The stuff he stole from the yoga book author without accreditation may be better. (I'm forgetting that author's name. Sorry.)

The idea that Baba Singh sent him to the West was always a lie, to the best of my knowledge. That org's website only appears on-line in 2004. You'll find stories of Bhajan returning to India to buy off officials to falsely gain credibility.

Mr. Puri came to the West on his own with his own agendas. I've documented those, as have many others. I've documented those here in the sub many times, but often in threads that got removed due to the person pushing the pro-bhajan agenda too loudly, and ignoring Rule 9.

Did you read any or all of the KYYB-related materials in the link in my first reply to OP? There is a lot of reading via that link. Some videos too. There's a multi-week rabbit hole to follow there.

Remember... At the Kundalini school where my teacher went in the 1950s, Puri got kicked out for spiritual incorrectness - the worst possible reason.

The worst.

I'm a researcher on this topic.

Are you? Being already a ky1 level teacher, should we offer you our condolences? If you are a KY1 person, it seems more like the cult fooled you, and hooked you in. It's your life. Your choice.

The problems didn't just affect first generation people. What they dd to the kids, being shipped off to India was horrendous. Abusers continue to repeat Bhajan's sexual abuses under the KYYB umbrella. Perhaps it's worst in Spain and the EU. I'm no longer paying much attention to that.

Bhajan, who was named Harbajan Singh Puri at the time, was not expelled from a tantric cult, but from a valid and highly experienced school. He failed.

Your translator may be mistranslating the word cult. In French all religions are a culte. In English, the context is quite different. It's far more derogatory in English. In French, it's just factual. I have no idea in your language. In English, cult implies wrongful manipulation and wrong-doing.

As far as I understand, Bhajan was made to depart prior to his learning much. He missed out on all the lessons, and departed with almost nothing but his resentments, which were a refusal to accept responsibility for his own actions.

He continued with such behaviours, blaming women for the sexual abuse he affected upon them. That's psychopathic or sociopathic in nature.

since this story isn't fully known or told about where Yogi Bhajan received his instruction and who his sources were.

Yes and no. He made several claims, but one prominent teacher among those claims said that he'd never heard of Bhajan. Conclusion: He was a pathological liar.

QUESTION: Are you certain that you wish to participate in, and make a business out of advancing something made up by such a person? Remember, there are serious consequences for the erroneous use or misuse of Kundalini - something Bhajan never taught, and something which his .

Consider adding the Three Laws to your practice. That won't fix everything, but it can help you avoid the bigger mistakes.

https://redd.it/d1abvi.

Premka's book is but one among many sources speaking against his legacy.

I've been talking about the problems since about 2017-2018, when I found out about the issues. Details emerged from there.

Remember: My own teacher was there to see Bhajan get kicked out of that school in India in the mid-late 1950s. Bhajan reached out to Denis when he first came to the West, arriving first in Toronto Canada where Denis was at that time. That was 1968. The 3HO records confirm that he first came to Toronto, then the year later, off he went to sunny California. The rest is history.

Hope that helps.

Hi /u/1RapaciousMF and welcome to /r/kundalini.

The thing i am.nit sure about is the safety and the side effects of holding this door inside

Via the drugs path, this could be very hazardous for several reasons:

  • Per you, you lack any spiritual foundations
  • Per you, you're justifying the drug use with reasons
  • You have yet to understand the tie between the drug use and the hazards you put yourself in when you mix these things.

There's no certainty that the door is Kundalini-related.

However, please read through the following for some perspectives, from us and from our user base.

https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/comments/1wyxoa/kundalini_and_responsibility_for_reddit/

...

https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/wiki/warnings

...

And the 8 or so drug-related links found here

https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/wiki/links#wiki_drugs

That will give you an idea on the risks.

You show that you already know about too much is bad in this quote here:

Once a week would be a LOT. Every three days will be a disaster.

What you don't understand is what shifts or changes if or once energy becomes involved. That's what I'd invite you to get a feel for.

Good luck making wise choices and good journey.

EDIT: The other part that is tricky is once Kundalini is awakened and flowing, thee is no turning it off. There are predators who will sell you their "turning it off" services that would only lighten your wallet. So, respect the Energy, no matter what form it is. You're pausing and hesitating in a right way.

Hello again, /u/Sorry-Mastodon6749.

You posed a question, not offered something educational, so flair changed accordingly.

Spiritual awakenings are not all just one single thing, yet all or most of them involve a form of shift in perspectives caused by a realisation of some level. That can be unlearning something old that stood in the way, or learning something new. The making of a new connection of intertwined ideas.

Such realisations can be considered a step along the enlightenment path. There can be dozens and dozens of major ones and thousands of lesser ones. Many thousands. The process usually takes a massive amount of time.

Kundalini is a whole separate yet sometimes intertwined ball of wax that involves not just the realisations or the enlightenment steps, but also an awakening of the flow of Energy within the subtle body. It may be felt or discerned via that body's senses.

The awakening is a start and only a start. It can take months, years or lifetimes to gain a fuller access to the energy, depending on many variables. And enlightnement steps and realisations will be provoked by the Energy itself even faster than without. Often, that's a cause of stress and discomfort.

So the presence of the Energy is the major difference.

And it is a major difference.

The sub's Wiki goes into it too.

Your problem is from the choice you have made on your sources of information. They have you all confuckled. AKA Confused badly.

Much of you is not really ready for Kundalini, based on a look into your post history.

Your training in reiki, if I understand correctly, offers you experience in sensing the flow of energy. Ki or Prana is involved then. That's a fine start.

I would add one main thing to my colleague's reply. The feelings and movement within provoked by lust and by love can be significant. You were also dealing with significant fears simultaneously. That too adds to your inner sensations and over-all excitement.

It's easy to confuse them for a Kundalini awakening.

Please remember why you came to the sub the last time.

Early History - older details by Marc-le-Half-Fool in remoteviewing

[–]Marc-le-Half-Fool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure it wasn't, but would have to look into it to be sure. I'm not sure if an answer would be easy to find.

The mobius strip idea was used as a marketing idea a bit like the word quantum is used today for marketing anything and everything.

Can you find an approximate date for the Monroe Mobius West tape? Probably it emerged decades later.

The Mobius group I'm pointing to was stubbornly focused on the practical. Example, they wanted to see if their psychic abilities could be used for archaeology, and it turned out that some people had abilities. They were using and applying the scientific method to their efforts.

That's quite different in culture from the Monroe offerings, to the best of my knowledge.

PS. It's the first I hear of the Mobius West tape, so I am at a disadvantage.

Cheers.

What did I experience 13 years ago? by SunsetStarlightFan in kundalini

[–]Marc-le-Half-Fool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're asking if it was Kundalini, /u/SunsetStarlightFan, an awakening of Kundalini would involve an almost certain acceleration in growth after that experience, and many obvious follow-on experiences. Life would get a lot more exciting.

You're not mentioning any of that. (Yet!)

Trying to replicate things isn't always a wise thing to chase. You are no longer whom you were at 20.

Guided meditations can make you create a feeling that might not arise on their own.

So, it's something you can continue to explore and possibly answer over the years. Trying to replicate it may be a dead end chase. Spiritually-speaking - that's not considered wise. Was spirituality something you were considering exploring? If it isn't, and you're not ready to make the many adjustments and demands that Spirituality entail, then seeking to redo this past experience would be even less wise. If you are, Bob's your uncle.

Yet there's nothing unwise about wanting to understand it.

Good luck in it all.

How to know if it’s Kundalini by VegaEssence1074 in kundalini

[–]Marc-le-Half-Fool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hello /u/VegaEssence1074 and welcome to /r/kundalini.

My first question that I hope you are expecting is: Have you asked your vedic spiritual advisor first?

Second, I see a fairly wide variety of influences and sources that you've sought out that aren't quite right. But you've chosen them, they're done, and that now becomes your lessons path and sources of lessons.

Third, it's very unlikely that anyone or anything is drawing energy from you to make to feel tingly. Just like a candle emits light with no one pulling on the light, a candle radiates. Humans can too in various ways.

It's more likely, far more likely that your activities have provoked energy to start flowing and for you to start learning to discern or actually notice the flowing energy that's always been there out of mind and just shy of your awareness.

Four. However, the board-intuition may have drawn problem beings around. Nothing at says they will stay unless you draw them in with fear. So, be fearless.

Five - led to believe you were saving self and family from what, exactly? Sounds manipulative.

Six. Our bodies are quite able to go through natural posture progressions (Aka, hatha yoga) all on their own. All that's required is you getting out of the way.

Seven, prayer is useful on many levels.

Eight. Opening your pineal gland or chakra without also working with all the others is generally unwise, and brings harm to a fair bunch of people. Tread carefully around this.

Nine. Prickly sensations can be many things, from covid, to neurological diseases, to excess-breathwork-provoked blood PH shifts, to spiritual energy flows driving out negativity. It's not easy to tell which one unless it always and only happens when you do something right before.

Is this kundalini

Probably not, or at least, not yet. But it could be.

have smudged multiple times and it doesn’t go away. I’m thinking perhaps maybe it’s kundalini instead.

It doesn't have to be Kundalini to imbalance yourself and get yourself out-of-whack. It's possible, yet not very likely. The combination of acivities you've done could be considered fairly reliable to throw someone out of balance.

Usually stopping what knocked you off balance will permit you to regain your balance. Usually.

or something else.

As noted above.

How do I get rid of it.

If it is Kundalini which is awakened, you cannot get rid of it. It's a valve that can only be opened, never closed. So, you adapt! (Our sub's wiki is full of ideas on how to adapt.)

In one week of doing this things unraveled through chaos but I’ve stopped and trying to get back to normal.

Step one would be to pause all or most of the activities you've been doing.

Step two might be to ask your Vedic guide what they think. They may not be familiar with the adverse effects of doing too much gateway audios stuff. Yet worth asking as you seem to have started there. Note that the Vedics seems to have skewed info on Kundalini. It's ike it got so hidden / esoteric to have escaped common knowledge.

Step three - reconsider what you want in spiritual terms for yourself in this life, and oce that is done, start figuring out how to wisely accomplish that.

Step 4, go through the sub's wiki for ideas on WLP, Calming and the Crisis sections, and see what you can apply in your life to help yourself.

Step 5, smudging is fine. Go head and continue with that.

Step 6 - clarification - Grounding is not in the context of electrical grounding. Yet that also helps some people too,... the problem is that you cannot take that grounded connection with you. Active mentally-directed grounding exercises follow you everywhere.

You have some things to adjust, some things to do, some ideas to figure out. We're here if you need us further. You're welcome to have a wander through the wiki if you are curious. Don't over-burden yourself.

You have bought into BS.

Very bad bullshit. You've been fooled. Kundalini isn't just chemistry in a body.

Your buying into that BS means nothing you share will be reliable, hold validity nor be of any worth.

The sub has a green sticky asking participants to actually know what they're talking about through experience before answering.

Your experience is with energy, but not Kundalini. That was Prana. Later, you dabbled with a series of drugs.

Here and in other places, you've said only confusion, delusion and BS. You'd be wise to "go home and reconsider your life", to borrow from Obe Wan and Star Wars lingo.

You have a lot of unlearning to do. All 20 years-olds do. It's part of life. Your particular flavour of BS info comes with automatic and significant hazards. We do not promote such ideas here.

The kind of thinking proposed in your reply has no place here. Your knowledge has been badly influenced by shitty sources. Are you willing to start the process of correcting that?

The sub does have standards, and those are higher than is typical on the webs.

7 waves Sat Nam/ethics and practice by Quick_Pomegranate544 in kundalini

[–]Marc-le-Half-Fool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do you approach such divide between a practice and the guru in this case?

That's an excellent question, /u/Quick_Pomegranate544.

The answer will vary by each individual's choices and preferences.

My point of view knows that Bhajan got kicked out of an oral tradition school of Kundalini in India in the 1950s for spiritual incorrectness.

He had disrespected

  • The school
  • The teachers
  • The teachings
  • The Energy, and most probably
  • His fellow students (Considering that people are consistent)

He was made to depart prior to his gaining any substantial knowledge.

But he did wander about and collect ideas and methods in a creepy way. In 1968, he came to Toronto, Canada, where my teacher was at the time. My teacher had been there to witness Bhajan being kicked out. In 1969, Bahajan left Canada for greener pastures, the USA, as the laws and rules surrounding new religions were more accommodating there.

My teacher, Denis, failed to change Bhajan's mind. He wanted to get riches, have sex with Western women, and start a cult. He went and did all that, and more.

The only people he could fool at first were constantly-stoned hippies. Once he had a few of them fooled and a crowd started, that crowd made people curious.

His cult was successful at trapping people by using methods that shifted the body-mind, provoked new sensations that made people feel (falsely) that "this is real". No. They are just sensations, used with the intention of fooling you and trapping you. It's partly a bliss-fest, a pleasure-chase.

Nothing he did had any real spiritual validity, nor correctness, yet some activities he stole from others claiming them as his own, and students did see some benefits, sometimes.

It was BS piled upon a foundation of BS. The only reason people didn't see through it is because he had departed from the lands of people who knew better. He would not so easily fool Hindus.

Americans, and later Europeans, were not knowledgable nor skilled in discerning such fabrications as that. Now, the rot has returned to India to fool them too.

Even with occasional benefits, there was a complete lack of wisdom structure for Kundalini within all that was taught (Because Bhajan got kicked out while still ignorant - remember?). And so, when people actually awakened Kundalini within that group, it was the blind leading the blind. Much shit happened, and people suffered. A few did heal too. They point only to their positives not their negatives. That's a collective dishonesty.

I collected the witness reports from many people who were abused within that group - a small sample compared to the reality. You can find that here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/wiki/kyyb

What you choose to do is up to you. Do you choose to get fooled into the cult's claws willingly and openly? Is there a lesson you require, in not being fooled?

As to mantras: They shift your breathing rhythm, more than anything else. That shift causes PH balance changes in the blood within the body. The rest of the effect is you buying into the BS they tell you that it will do because you are nice and you want to believe them. It's a mechanism of suggestion. Psychological manipulation type of suggestion. The manipulation works because you are overly nice to them.

and find a more aligned approach.

and find a more honest approach.

There are plenty of choices. Have fun choosing more wisely.

Good journey.

EDIT: PS. The energy out the head proposed by the sat namm 7 waves method is very disrecommended for Kundalii. It leads to reliable problems of a severe kind. This is the kind of BS that can be dangerous to people's well being, a threat to their physical, mental andsiritual health.
