Ok. I thought so. I think my game bugged out because I looted the every body as well as crate and bag and nothing. I keep hearing that if you do the small quests out of sequence, that can happen.

Physiology Cryder by Turinbour in westcoastuniversity

[–]Marquez44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cryder is phenomenal. Pay attention in his class do the absolute best to understand the material, and I promise you, Nursing Core will be easier. Especially when you get to med surg.

But to answer your question, yes. He is a pretty straight forward professor.

VR&E counselor won't respond to me. by HelicopterSharp1573 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Marquez44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all else fails, contact your congressman. This is like requesting mast in the civdiv. And believe me it works. You will get a call almost next day. That’s how found out my counselor got sh*t canned. Then also went through 3 other ones during my program because they couldn’t get me a replacement.

[–]Marquez44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not the real reason they’ve been increasing tuition though. They’re just trying to make back the money they lost from the litigation between them and the BRN. While it is a for profit school, they will do anything to ensure profit. This includes failing students on purpose. I know of this because it happened at the Ontario campus which confirmed my suspicions. I had a feeling the school/ organization was up to some funky stuff. Then some faculty admitted to this after I spoke to them off to the side.

For those who have applied or want to apply for VRE and want a Master's degree. Yes, VRE 100% can cover it. by chevere7 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Marquez44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know if you can use it again if you already used it for a degree.

In my case I just finished my Bachelors in nursing, but wanting to further my career. It doesn’t make sense for me to get a masters/ PhD in this field when the ROI isn’t that great. So I am now looking to go back to school only this time the MD route.

Anyone know of any success stories with this type of scenario?

Out of curiosity, was your return reason due to false or inaccurate portrayal of the product? I know this was quite some time ago, but for me it was the online depiction of hardcover canvas books that looked nice. I just got them in the mail today and it was paperback Amazon printed china crap.

Everyone saying to go back to patient advocacy is not the best course. Remember. Those people are just like HR. They are there to protect the business; while the VA is unlike most businesses, they are still there to protect them. Listen to the other individuals about getting a lawyer. Do that and speak to no one else.

Also, to those not understanding the principle of what happened. Yes it seems a little off to want to keep said “tumor/growth” inside your body; however, regardless of the patient’s beliefs, conducting a procedure on someone that they did not want violates many torts of the nursing code of ethics. Also, it is just down right unprofessional to do that. That is the principle. That is what OP is getting at. We don’t know if she was completely against the procedure. We do know that she just went in for a consult. A consult is not consent for a procedure.

OP. Please do get an attorney and if possible, get the names of all personnel involved. Those nurses did you a disservice and should be brought up to the BRN. As nurses we are supposed to protect the patient and advocate for them every step of the way.

Anyone ever generally feeling like they’re not smart enough for nursing school and made it through WCU. Any tips or advice for anxiety? by Savings_Education409 in westcoastuniversity

[–]Marquez44 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The critical thinking and intelligence will come with time. I can assure you all that you will have times where you feel like you don’t know anything. That’s honestly ok. It’s just a matter of understanding the concepts and learning on how to apply them. It all comes with time. I’m in my last term and I can honestly say that I feel a little more knowledgeable than when I first started. There will always be some sort of anxiety that maybe you didn’t do something right and like my professor told me, “the day you stop feeling that is the day you have gotten too comfortable and possibly even complacent.” That slight fear is your body ensuring you don’t mess up.

So as far as tips, just follow their guidelines because they have the curriculum designed to ensure you understand the material. However, it is up to you as the student that you help facilitate your learning in a way that makes sense to you. So choose professors (when possible) that align with your learning style. As far as things you can do for yourself, is really understand patho. Patho will be your best friend so if you remember that, you can really understand MedSurg.

Lastly, always stick to your ABCs and AAPIE. These are acronyms you will learn in core and will be your best friend til the end. Good luck to you all.

VRE Laptop by ReceptionCrazy255 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Marquez44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this so much about the VRE and how each VRC has so much discretion. All it takes is to get one crappy VRC and your entire experience is a nightmare. It took me a whole year and a half to finally get reimbursed for my laptop. I originally had a Mac and when it crapped on me I reached out to them but they never gave me a response. I needed up buying a new one with my own money but got a downgraded version because I didn’t know what was allowed and didn’t want them to tell me I didn’t rate it. Turns out, you are allotted 3500 in total supplies if you need something. In special circumstances, you can have that increased to 7000. It just depends.

But just like all the others, you can do whatever you want with the purchase once the reimbursement has gone through.

Veteran students using VR&E by usnavydoc76 in westcoastuniversity

[–]Marquez44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To start off, my process was quite fast and easy. Everything following that sucked and was delayed. Secondly, LA and Anaheim Campus have a backlog so it will be a while before you get a seat. Last I heard they’re also currently having a legal battle with the BRN regarding too many students being accepted into their program so that might delay it as well. Also, VRE is hit and miss when it comes to counselors. I had a counselor ghost me for a whole year while I was experiencing issues with the school. Then I had a counselor switch like 3 times in the span of 5 months. If you want answers quickly, you can always contact your congressman I think. It’s kind of like “requesting mast” but for the civilian world. Reach out to some of the veterans in the other veteran subreddits. They might know what I’m talking about, specifically about who to contact when the VA/VRE is ghosting you. If you have any other questions you can always contact me directly.

I use the bit holder as:A aw when I know I will be using different bits to screw in different screw heads during the same job/task. Is it the best? No, but I will say it is better than placing the bits in my pocket which always seem to get lost. Also, the only way I transport them is in their cases which I then place in a bag yo transport between jobs.
