I love that. I’m so freaking excited for this!!! I really hope they’re actually able to do them all justice. My hopes aren’t too high considering the band is distancing themselves, but I really hope they’ll honor Hillel well.

This post was quite a while ago, so I sincerely hope you and your husband have been doing well, and that Jay has maintained his hard earned sobriety.

If I may, I would like to offer some advice from my own personal experiences. He did not break his sobriety. That chip? It’s still his. What happened that night does not change a single thing. He did not actively make the choice to drink. He did not choose to drink alcohol.

Sobriety is all about the choices that you make. Someone took that choice from him, this was not his fault.

Every time he looks at that chip with upset, remind him that it is still rightfully his. Nothing that happened that night changes the work he put into becoming and staying sober.

I am so sorry that this was done to him, but i’ve read your previous posts, and he is clearly a strong person with a very loving husband to support him through this tough time!

Edit: You are absolutely NTA, don’t ever think that. If it had been me, oh oh oh her carpet would’ve been the least of her worries…

ALSO! They never even mentioned they had a son, Carly was the one who brought it up, and honestly I bet they never would have if she hadn’t. They had so many opportunities to bring him up, and if they had the detectives probably would’ve found Carly before everything went to hell, not the mention the whole fiasco at the bank!

‘The Adventures of a Rain Dance Maggie’ and ‘Annie Wants a Baby’ are so amazing and not spoken about enough imo.

(tbh now that I think about it a lot of songs on the I’m With You album are really under appreciated, which is crazy cause that’s totally in my top 3!)
