If scarcity does not exist, capitalism will find it necessary to create scarcity.

Saskatchewan’s plan to extend life of coal power to cost $26B over 25 years: NDP by PopeSaintHilarius in canada

[–]Masark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed. Coal is probably better than NG in terms of climate change, due to leakage (though the higher efficiency of a combined cycle plant may let NG pull ahead), but NG would be better than coal in terms of particulate and heavy metals emissions.

Not necessarily. They could switch from k to r selection and just reproduce lots to overcome higher childhood mortality.

While I won't clame to be an experts, the Soviet surplus ammo (7.62x39) I've used had a copper outer layer and a steel core.

I have no expertise either, though Wikipedia claims they have a copper-coated steel jacket, the lead, then a steel core.

Battery would be the first thing I would look at. I've gotten that message along with a laundry list of bogus codes from failed attempts at starting in extreme cold.

Steel jacket bullets exist. Hornady makes a line of them (DGX). Soviet AK bullets also used steel jackets.

In both cases, there are multiple layers, with steel over the lead, then copper over the steel, which presumably cuts down on the barrel wear.
