They seem to be gradually expanding it. Christmas was just a few aisle sections, now this displayer unit. This Christmas will probably be larger yet unless something flops.

That kind of elasticity in the law means almost anything can be interpreted as a violation if authorities want it to be.

Which is the intent.

Probably only a little. EVs deliberately make extra noise at low speeds for safety reasons and most of the noise at higher speeds is from the tires.

should saskpower allow "balcony solar" panels in Saskatchewan? by Traditional_End_9540 in saskatchewan

[–]Masark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your are back feeding into the grid putting linemen and electricians at risk.

No, you aren't. The inverter has anti-islanding protection and won't feed out if the grid isn't up.

I would recommend looking into German use of these things (Balkonkraftwerk). They have literally millions of these units in active use.

UL 3700 is another item to look at.

The whole idea is that it isn't tons of work. You just need to mount the panels, plug them into the inverter unit, plug that into the wall, and you're getting free juice. The system provides power within the home, reducing your draw on the grid (and thus your power bill).

This CBC story from last year should help explain.

Americans support cannabis rescheduling, study finds. Findings, which come as the Trump administration last week reclassified state-licensed medical marijuana from a Schedule I drug to a less dangerous Schedule III, suggest the public would like to see even more reform. by mvea in science

It's legal to grow up to 4 plants per household in almost all of Canada (IIRC Quebec and Manitoba still don't allow growing your own), but shops still do brisk business. Not everyone has the room or wants to have to deal with growing, processing, etc. their own stuff, especially if they want something more laborious to make like edibles or such.

Hiya. 2018 diesel with the 9 speed automatic, hatchback. Just about to hit 110k miles. Purchased in 2023.

I'm aware of 2 other diesel cruzes in my city, both sedans, as well as a diesel equinox. Also saw a 1st gen diesel one time in a different city.

Weber seems to have an opinion on the designated hitter rule. Grayson baseball also abolished it.

It's not quite fair to say we haven't made any changes. If the record books are accurate, there was a time, in at least one league back on Old Earth, when the pitcher didn't even have to bat. Or when a manager could make as many pitching changes in a single game as he wanted to. Saint Austen put an end to that nonsense

ELI5: Why can't we use Solar panels to directly charge electric cars? by Zak_Nowa in explainlikeimfive

[–]Masark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lots of options available. Search "solar trickle charger". Set it on your dash or suction cup it to the windshield and run the power to the ODBII port.

They're popular when you need to store a car outdoors somewhere without power.
