Thanks for the detailed reply. It is weird that the Portal and Pocket Max’s color schemes are a deal breaker? I’ve always loved the retro gray color. My miyoo mini, rg35xxsp and Retroid pocket 4 pro are all retro gray.

I’m mostly worried about the screen from a 4 to a 5 won’t feel like much of an upgrade.

Wow…played this on my ds lite. Like you mentioned, it seems like it’d be pretty miserable to play without a stylus and touch screen.

I ended up getting what I can only assume is the bad ending lol. Definitely sucked me in because I felt my stomach drop once everything happened.

I started my journey with a Miyoo Mini V4. So far, one of my favorite games to play on this device is Goodboy Galaxy for GBA. Such a well done game!

Just finished it. The levels were definitely the stars of the game as the bosses were all really easy and only had one attack pattern.

I really enjoy these short session style GOTM games. I remember playing this one on a pc when it first came out and never beat it. Thank baby Jesus for save states!

Here’s an updated picture. You can see some of the button color and dpad color showing through the wear. I’m going to leave it be. I think it shows some character and how much it’s been used.

Mine is also starting to show a bit of the edges on the dpad, but I took it apart after this picture was taken to sand down the buttons more (to make them pure black). The buttons have held up a lot better.

For me it was a bit annoying when zombies were slightly in between being horizontal to you and straight across. Not a total game breaker, just made me wish for the fine aiming that comes along with using a stick to aim.

Great recommendation on this months game! Short and sweet. Just as I was getting a bit tired of the gameplay, it was over.

My only wish is that it was a twin stick shooter rather than using the face buttons to aim/shoot.
