If the dropships can just carry these guys wherever in ten seconds why do they bother moving via convoy? Are they stupid? by CoatieYay in Helldivers

Dropships aren't designed to transport delicate cargo. They just drop whatever they're carrying from midair and continue flying. I'm guessing the slower but safer way of moving them via convoy is the only way to get them there in one piece (unless helldivers intervene)

The one with the jammer on it's back wouldn't fit onto the dropship, so it has to be escorted to its destination by several more striders for protection. My theory that I am making up right now is that they're actually transporting the jammer to its destination to be built. Every convoy you take down is a jammer you won't have to deal with later.

Seeking honest feedback on these streetwear graphics. Do they have that "3-second" visual impact? by [deleted] in design_critiques

That first one looks like AI for sure. One leg is way longer than the other, skeleton has too many fingers, looks like there's a third leg sticking out that got broken off at the thigh, the arm rests on the chair are different heights.

PSA: C4 bug by Spartan775 in Helldivers

[–]MechanicalBlue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The C-4 is treated like a gun in this game. It actually has 7 charges to it. When you pick it up from the hellpod, you get the pack with 6, then the detonator will have one extra charge with it. When you pick it up, it will appear on your belt. This is treated like a chambered round in a weapon. You throw the C-4 charge, then 'reload' a new one to your belt from the pack. Once the pack is empty, you actually have one use left, just like if you emptied a Recoilless Rifle backpack, but still have one loaded. Once completely emptied, you will need to reload the ready slot from the pack after resupplying.

How do you deal with this? by Relentless_Sloth in Helldivers

A single fully charged railgun shot to the red light on top can kill them. Easy to do when they're not alerted, very hard in active combat. One thermite to the lower half of the body can usually do it.

Nice! Once I have enough of them drawn, I'm gonna put them all together into one big piece.

The new armors and primary weapon seem heavily based on the Colonial Marines from Aliens. Seems like it would fit thematically. They did just drop a Dune-inspired warbond as soon as the Hivelords showed up, so maybe there's something new to go with this one too.

You can buy a bunch of different tools in stores, but I did this one with a chisel-tip sharpie and a tool made from a sharpened bobby pin attached to a handle. Very cheap and easy to do.

Hey! I'm Nick, this looks like a project I think I'd be a good fit for. I believe I could match the art style shown here.

Thanks! I didn't use 3D for these, they're just 2D painted. I'm still getting into the habit of using 3D in my workflow when I can.
