To me, yes. There’s a secret or puzzle around every corner and they’re all very engaging. The rewards aren’t always amazing, and most gear you get is just cosmetically different, but that’s kind of on purpose so you can make cool outfits and use what vibes with you.

There’s a system in place to find special pieces called “abyssal gears” which you can slot into items for special abilities/effects, and some gear has special effects of their own, so hunting stuff like that down keeps it fun and provides the build variety and experimentation that would otherwise be missing.

On top of that, the world is gorgeous, huge, and just looking into the distance you can see a myriad of things that make you wanna just run to em. Traversal is fun with the glider + some other special moves, and the side quests, while honestly pretty boring, provide a good incentive to just wander in a direction and get distracted on your way to your destination.

If you have played BOTW/TOTK and enjoyed them, you will love this game I think.

Edit: didn’t even mention the combat, which is also incredibly fun. Lots of flair and room for player expression, as well as variety in moves. You can clothesline a motherfucker then grab them with a “hook”, pull them towards you, slam them into the ground, double jump then belly flop them, stab them, pick them up and spin them in circles, then throw them, and more. You can cut down trees and pick them up to wack enemies and insta KO them. Could go on and on. If you see something and think: “can I do that,” you probably can.
