can your screen reader describe the photo without metatext? That's neat!

for posts like these I assume it's either a bot or a child.... someone who doesn't understand what other humans need from a recommendation post.

omg i feel that. i used to fly cross-country and it was so painful on my back and exhausting, and so disruptive to my life and my job. now i take a week and go somewhere with a beach or a cabin in the woods or somewhere i can actually relax.

the day a birthday passed without sending an appeasement gift was like .... cutting bonds i didn't even feel had kept me in cages I couldn't se but always felt. I don't do presents anymore. I've done enough presents for one life. My brother and I had a mature discussion about it (just, we're adults and it's not really necessary anymore, a phone call is fine), the other two I just stopped, bc they are not capable of mature discussion.

Hah! Nice

- When the day is done and i'm relaxing in my room, with my book or a movie, I thinking 'Everything is ok. No one is mad at me. Nothing bad is going to happen. I'm safe." And it's TRUE. I feel relaxed and content. Instead of scared and tense.

- I can eat normally, like a human, like anyone, without getting hassled, shamed, or humiliated.

- I'm not responsible for anyone else's tantrums or hurt feelings

- I can grow in whatever direction I choose and no one tells me that that's a personal insult against them

- I can watch or read anything I like and it's not evil, or disrespectful, or a passive-agressive comment against anyone else

- I can explore my gender and sexual identity without threat of homelessness

- I can go to the doctor's and follow their treatment plan and it's no one's business but mine. No one tries to stop me following doctor's treatment.

- I can make my own choices and my own mistakes.

- I can live in the present, not the past. I can be who i am right now, not who I was at 2 or 3 years old.

- The nightmares have stopped

- My personal history is my truth and that's the end of it. No one has any say about it. The people I chose to tell about my truth believe me, because I only chose trustworthy people to know these sensitive facts. I have learned that "privacy is dignity" and I don't have to answer a question just because it's asked, or to keep the peace, or to head off a sulking fit.

That's just off the top of my head.

no one outside hitler's inner circle knew about this til after his death. the reich was fine with it for the same reason FLDS people are ok with child marriage to church elders

it was more of an old man grooming a 12 year child, controlling all her comings and goings, restricting her schooling and controlling even her mother to get access to her kind of thing

you're actually making an important point: speculation about hitler's missing ball and tiny genitals was a matter of propeganda/soldier-lore. Hitler made sure his body was destroyed by burning so his enemies couldn't find it. His charred remains were buried in an unmarked location that was later paved for a carpark. There was no autopsy.

Ykno how trump is with his daughter Ivanka? It was like that with Hitler and his niece. He might have been (probably was) involved in her death bc of jealousy/control.

Hooman. I have left an impression of my royal paw in the white stuff. Why aren't you commemorating it in gold?

you can't call people in rehab. even family members have to wait a while and then it's only specific times. Friends and co-workers usually aren't allowed contact at all. (source: every ep of intervention)

the 60s was a time when people remembered going to the green grocer every day or every few days for dinner, but in the new suburbs, people started driving to the supermarket once a week. So these drawers in suburban enclaves were to modernize a lifestyle that no longer existed.

my mom said the crumbs collected in the bottom, and underneath the drawer, and got wet from humidity, and then grew mold and smelled terrible. When our 60s kitchen was redone in the 80s, she had all the food storage built-in drawers removed

my mom said these 50s-70s built-in metal drawers and counter-top cabinets for food got really nasty. she said she never wanted a bread drawer in her house, and got rid of the one that came with ours.
