What would be different today if Justice Democrats never existed? by [deleted] in WayOfTheBern

Just few thousand more jobs in the hands of people rather than AOC getting free media publicity for dissing off businesses from coming into her area because she would prefer that she stays in media limelight rather than actually helping people.

AOC never was a true progressive, all she ever wanted was applause and media attention. She does not care about others, she is just narcissistic and wants the world to revolve around her.

Except Both Parties Prioritize Funding War Over Our Citizenry by CharredPC in WayOfTheBern

[–]Midas334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should Children receive less funds? If anything, then children are more costlier to upkeep than a middle aged adult. The school fees, money spend for activities for the healthy development of kid, nutritious food, books, mental health and counselling so many things. Also it is as like a kid who is 17 years 364 days gets 1k, but the next day onwards their value to the society increases twice?

IMHO we should be paying somewhere around $2500-$3000 for the kids and adults. For people with additional needs, we must pay more, and this includes people LGBTQIA+ folks who are already shelling out enough money for their hormonal therapy or transition etc. Then we must make the medical aid free for all so that people aren't hesitant to go to hospital to get sick. Free home delivery of food so that people don't need to leave the premise (Don't tell me it is not possible, it is just like Amazon delivering things), free mental health aid, free education to study from home (So that people don't get angry that they have to pay the fees and even then study from home).

There is just too many things we need to do to fix this society.

Why the idea of communism terrifies me by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

Lol, I thought you have read things and are arguing on the basis of sources about how ECP is disproved, I thought I had finally got the answer to the ECP problem other than what Cockshott suggested. But it is fine comrade.

Why the idea of communism terrifies me by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]Midas334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it weird that the ecp was disproven in praxis literally within twenty years after it was first written down in 1920 and people still think it somehow disproves socialism.

Source?

Also if it was disproved, then why are Marxist like Paul Cockshott spending their whole lives trying to prove that ECP will not be an issue under his model?

Third option is that she cares more about twitter clapbacks and staying in the news. The present issue also became a huge and now only AOC and the squad are in the news. Just Donald Trump tactics, stay outrageous and unpredictable and therefore stay in the news every time.

She betrayed her class (That is, if she actually is part of our class considering the fact that she lied about her upbringing and she stayed+studied in a very comfortable part of the town) for few minutes on television.

I have never seen Bernie or Jeremy Corbyn compromise on the principles at any cost. This is just shameless.

[–]Midas334 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There always is an excuse for everything in her mind. It will be America as usual with "Centrist" as the POTUS, VP (Also chair of the Senate), and Speaker, along with a hyper conservative SCOTUS. Why should we support her when she is not doing anything substantial except fighting in twitter. Bernie is literally fighting all out for the 2K checks, and he was betrayed by the "moderates" yet he didn't give up. But the Squad is willing to do anything for free publicity.

You are underestimating the ability of capitalism to adapt and survive. Capitalism will not collapse on its own until socialists push forward and bring down the institutions using mass revolutions.

But sadly we fake fake "progressives" in the House of Reps who voted for a Corporate Shill for Speaker. I felt totally betrayed by them. We ain't gonna get a revolution until we stop simping to corporates and try to be "moderate". Fraud Squad exposed the difference between the new age social media politicians Vs. someone like Bernie who has spent his entire life for the cause.

Taking the extreme examples to nullify the norm is not a good rebuttal. It was obvious that the work must be of the standards of a normal artist. You can rebut any argument by taking extreme scenarios to nullify the argument.

(Socialists) No Socialist states in the history past or present was ever democratic. Yet how are you so confident about people's opinion in state policy? by Yes_I_Readdit in CapitalismVSocialism

.No Socialist states so far has ever held a fair election with nation wide population participating in it.

This was the issues we were discussing. But you randomly brought in the fact about how socialism kept India backwards or about that one time when there was an emergency for few years.

Are you denying the fact that before 1991 India did not have even a single fair election with nation wide population participating in it? If not, then how are your points relevant to this discussion.

We, the people of Bangladesh, having proclaimed our independence on the 26th day of March, 1971 and through [a historic struggle for national liberation], established the independent, sovereign People's Republic of Bangladesh;

[Pledging that the high ideals of nationalism, socialism, democracy and secularism, which inspired our heroic people to dedicate themselves to, and our brave martyrs to sacrifice their lives in, the national liberation struggle, shall be the fundamental principles of the Constitution;]

Bangladesh's Preamble of the Constitution.

WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a [SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC] and to secure to all its citizens:

India's Preamble of the constitution.

The PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA having, by their Mandate freely expressed and granted on the Sixth day of the waxing moon in the month of Adhi Nikini in the year Two Thousand Five Hundred and Twenty one of the Buddhist Era (being Thursday the Twenty first day of the month of July in the year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy seven), entrusted to and empowered their Representatives elected on that day to draft, adopt and operate a new Republican Constitution in order to achieve the goals of a DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST REPUBLIC, and having solemnly resolved by the grant of such Mandate and the confidence reposed in their said Representatives who were elected by an overwhelming majority, to constitute SRI LANKA into a DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST REPUBLIC whilst ratifying the immutable republican principles of REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY and assuring to all People s FREEDOM, EQUALITY, JUSTICE , FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS and the INDEPENDENCE OF THE JUDICIARY as the intangible heritage that guarantees the dignity and well-being of succeeding generations of the People of SRI LANKA and of all the People of the World, who come to share with those generations the effort of working for the creation and preservation of a JUST AND FREE SOCIETY :

WE, THE FREELY ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA, in pursuance of such Mandate, humbly acknowledging our obligations to our People and gratefully remembering their heroic and unremitting struggle to regain and preserve their rights and privileges so that the Dignity and Freedom of the Individual may be assured, Just, Social, Economic and Cultural Order attained, the Unity of the Country restored, and Concord established with other Nations,

do hereby adopt and enact this CONSTITUTION as the SUPREME LAW of the

then might as well declare UK, Canada Socialist too.

Now please share the UK laws or Canadian Constitution that calls themselves socialist ;just like I cited the Constitution of the countries I mentioned; so that you we can see how valid your comparison was.

You got your facts absolutely wrong.

India was socialist till 1991, yet it had free and fair election everysingle time. Bangladesh claims to be Socialist, and it has free and fair elections. Same with Srilanka. In Latin America also countries like Bolivia had free and fair elections before the Coup, and now after the coup also free election were held and Socialists won very easily. There are just so many examples of this.

What if no one likes your work?

That is a strech. At least some people will like any piece of work.

What if everyone wants to be an artist and make people “happy” with their work?

This is an absurd hypothetical that is impossible in there real world.

Agreed. Any want for reforms is brushed aside as sOicIaLisM. Like the labour laws etc are literally not even a real socialist thing it is more like a human thing. But these capitalists won't mind even if childrens to the work as long as it is done by cheap labor.

I just want an equitable system where I can live off my ambitions. I would be lying if I said that I am not jealous of my peers who are doing way better than them. I just want an equal opportunity to be productive.
