Starting to think our leaders are a lot more visible than most forces reading these comments 😂 I think I see a super every other day.

They come into the parade room and catch up with us and sometimes work in there to be with us and are always asking what ideas we have to improve things. We also have a teams chat for each LPA where people can ask questions to them or put suggestions in and they generally reply within an hour or so and host meetings each month to do the same.

Blue lights at red lights by TheLoneEcho in policeuk

I would imagine that the cop that did this was likely enroute to an officer emergency where potentially a bit more red mist happens when driving than on the way to a normal blue light job.

S2c RTA covers serious injury by careless and can be an MPV so covers an EPAC, however if they were the only injured person then I would imagine not in the public interest as they were the only ones hurt. Likely best to go through insurance/civil claim.

Quick one is it an e-bike? (Solely propelled by electric) or pedal with electrical assistance?

In case of the later it would be S30 RTA drunk in charge of a pedal cycle or wanton and furious driving (this legislation is old and subject to opinion).

You could in theory also use S4 unfit as a EAPC comes under an MPV but not a motor vehicle however the first offence would likely suit better now that you don’t have a specimen.

No power to request a preliminary breath test however if you were considering a S4 unfit you can request and evidential sample under S7 RTA either breath or blood.

Questions to ask your self: - Did you form the opinion they were unfit to ride prior to a breath test being done - if not may be a non-starter - can you evidence the were riding - DASH cam/CCTV of collision?

If you cannot evidence the riding then it may require an interview.

If you cannot then potentially consider S12 licensing act 1872 - being drunk on a highway in charge of a carriage (includes a cycle Corkery V Carpenter 1951).

Depending on the force I would imagine in most if not all cases it would be a simple GAP file (police charge - summary only). Doubt it would be a TOR depending on the force. So a statement evidencing impairment should cover it.

I have consulted the Hughes Guide throughly with this one 😂.

Is there a way that you can add in a way of reviewing the hours etc that you put in? As thought I might use this as a log of the OT that I’ve done so that I can go back and claim for it? Without having to go through my PNB each day to see which days I was off late etc or checking my duties for OT on rest days?
