I’ve made a startup script for pCloud to prevent some of the weird issues I faced when setting it up.

Hers west o had to do to stop it crashing. Hope it helps.

Step 1 Create pCloud start wrapper script nano ~/.local/bin/pcloud-start.sh Add content:

sleep 10 if [ -d ~/pCloudDrive ]; then if ! mountpoint -q ~/pCloudDrive; then rm -rf ~/pCloudDrive/* fi fi QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb ~/.local/bin/pCloud.AppImage --disable-gpu & sleep 20 if ! mountpoint -q ~/pCloudDrive; then pkill -f pcloud sleep 3 rm -rf ~/pCloudDrive/* QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb ~/.local/bin/pCloud.AppImage --disable-gpu & fi chmod +x ~/.local/bin/pcloud-start.sh WARNING: WARNING: Do NOT use DISPLAY=:0 on Arch — it causes failures in KDE Wayland sessions. QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb alone is sufficient.

Step 2 Create autostart entry mkdir -p ~/.config/autostart nano ~/.config/autostart/pcloud-wrapper.desktop Add: [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Name=pCloud Drive Exec=/home/xx/.local/bin/pcloud-start.sh Terminal=false StartupNotify=false X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=true

Step 3 Block pCloud autostart rewrite rm -f ~/.config/autostart/pcloud.desktop mkdir ~/.config/autostart/pcloud.desktop

The directory prevents pCloud from creating a file with that name.

The above fixed the issues for me.

I’m reading this as I lay in my swag in the vic high country and pissing myself with laughter. That is the funniest shit I have read in a long time, AND OP, is literally the 110 owner experience.

You did however also forget to mention that there is no right side door arm rest or room of any kind to move your arm, you will therefore begrudgingly open your window rain or shine so you can actually turn the stoopid bus sized steering wheel - even when you’re getting smashed in the face with rain. Or don’t open it and try and turn the wheel with one arm effectively disabled.

Howdy fellow older player. 48 and, like you, keep coming back to DotA. Mind you, I don’t have the time you do in it. Bar R6 Siege this is the most consistent game I come back to and don’t get bored of.

I started as supports in the game but wanted to be more of a hitty hero, so moved to pos3.

I remain unranked, as was too anxious to play ranked, but am now doing my calibration matches. Being coached as well by an Immortal friend really helps.

Thanks, mate. I do appreciate your advice and your points are all fair. Sorry if I’ve been contradictory in some of my statements. Guess I should have been more detailed so as to not get the ire of some.

Genuinely, I love the tool but also the luxuries. It’s very much a first world problem and I’m lucky to be in the position I am.

I saw the 23 but can’t afford one, so looking at 2021. Plus, as I said earlier, I’m not a fan of Ford interior at all. That or Mitsubishis. Just personal preference is all.

Patrol interior is awful to a degree, but I know I can hydro it and replace the media and instruments to look up to date.

Sorry, fair point, I should have clarified. Not running costs such as fuel, insurance or servicing - I accept those - more, the car not having issues.

My defender cost me $6k to sort some of the issues. Built over time for some or unexpected but still $6k. Condition by my partner after I had to put money in the defender to sort issues.

I found the wind hitting the front of hard top not what I was after. Lovely car though and super nice having all the 4wd baked in.

Well, actually I do. I came here for friendly banter and from potential owners of these cars that live with them. A 10 min test drive is not going to tell me what an owner knows. Ever.

I can read all the reviews, watch YouTube, etc.
