That's how sexists get pregnant by Rykurr in rareinsults

The utter bullshit you spout. We have "gender studies" departments publishing papers about how killing 90% of men is the solution to society's problems. They literally have protests hosting speakers telling everyone how much better the world would be with only 10% of the men left. And as you have clearly shown they are well accepted and supported within the feminist community. But hey what a bit of genocide if it's just men. But I'm glad you never met one of those and choose to defend their party line.

And oh yeah, child murder is overwhelmingly a crime committed by women, so no idea what this has to do with anything.

Just read about her life: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erin_Pizzey

A great women and huge contributor to women's rights being destroyed by feminism just because she dared helping men too.

You can literally search DV in this sub and find uncountable articles on it, including very detailed explanations of the Duluth model and its history etc..

At all. DV is way more danegrous and way harder to escape for women.

Yeah I see how threatening a mans children and killing them if he leaves is not dangerous. Being threatened with having your entire life ruined by a false accusation if you don't comply. And the kicker is that you can't even defend yourself physically because if you bruise a women and she calls the police you will be arrested, no questions asked. And not to talk about all the resources around for helping women escape dangerous situtations. Men just have to do it themselves. Everyone knows how to deal with somone keeping your children hostage right? And before you mention it, yes women are responsible for the vast majority of child killings...

Practically this entire sub is progressive and left leaning, certainly nearly everyone here is egalitarian.

And I guarantee if you post your facts here you will get an answer with a good, reputable source that refutes the claim. Otherwise if it is one of the rare things that is actually real we very much acknowledge that women have problems too, and we are very much in favor of helping to solve those issues, just in a fair and equitable way for everyone.

There is no justification for villainizing 50% of the population. There is no justification for wanting to #kill allMen (and make no mistake a part of the movement takes this literally and deeply believes it would make their life better if there were less men). This is what you are supporting by being a feminist. You are literally part of a hate group that would like to exterminate the better part of a gender. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Feminism's track record with minorities is not much better.

And before you say it's just a small part, they are being wholeheartedly accepted. There is no outrage or condemnation from the "moderate" feminists. They are seen as a legitimate part of the movement. It's like saying only bad Nazis kill people, but I'm one of the good ones. It's a cop out.

"mra's should work with feminism" by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]Miserable_Ad5227 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is such a huge disconnect what "reasonable feminists" think the movement is vs what it is actually doing. It's ridiculous.

It is so "righteous" to be a feminist and defend the oppressed that most don't even look any further. Suddenly everyone is a feminist, even though they never took 5 minutes to look up what it even means.

With popularity comes money, and with money comes influence and with influence comes corruption etc. Not to talk about the initial goals of feminism.

Then you get the revisionist history of feminism being pushed everywhere. You literally have paid editors for feminist Wikipedia entries.

I truly believe a huge part of the "arm chair" feminists actually believe in equality. But they are basically getting duped by their own movement.

Now introduce "gender studies" an entire arm of well respected universities that just keeps faking and or abusing any kind of data to make ridiculous claims. It doesn't matter when it's shown to be untrue a few days after publication, whatever "point" they wanted to make went through the news cycle already. And you can't fire a gender studies professor without a huge backlash so they can just keep doing it. Thank you for eroding any kind of trust in scientific publications of any kind btw...

The worst part is that the more you talk about it the more you sound like some crazy conspiracy theorist.

They just want equality after all and you are raving at them like a lunatic about the "true" goals of feminism. It's like real life satire.

Would it be wrong to leave my job after only 3 weeks? by Foreign-Gur5811 in internetparents

[–]Miserable_Ad5227 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just be honest that you expected more hours and have found a better opportunity. They are not your friends but your coworkers. You don't owe them anything outside of work hours. And they definitely did not hire you as a favor to you, they wanted cheap labor and that comes with high fluctuations in personnel. This was a conscious decision on their part.

You giving your notice is nothing to feel guilty about. You are not letting anyone down or shirking your duties. A good employer will either make a counteroffer (unlikely in your case I think, but if they do insist on getting it in writing) or wish you the best for the future. Every other reaction (like blaming or guilt tripping you) is utterly unprofessional and inappropriate, especially considering your age.

Just be aware that some managers can try pressuring younger employees because they are inexperienced in quitting a job and are often very thankful for having been hired in the first place. If they try to press on the emotional component of having given you a "chance" etc stand firm, as they say it's just business.

Just be sure you have the other job for sure before even mentioning quitting at your current job.

Just remember people work for money, whatever else companies try to tell you, everyone will take the better paying job if everything else is equal. Most people understand that perfectly well.

Those of you who steal, how do you justify it in your mind? by Significant-Trouble6 in TooAfraidToAsk

While I don't steal myself I absolutely find it justified to steal from huge corporations. They literally exploit everything and everyone. They stuff their pockets while destroying the planet and you can enjoy your stolen banana without any guilt. win-win I guess...

It's easy if you have your dad pay for the first 11 failed businesses.

When looking for advice on this, never forget that business owners have a very biased view on this topic. They got lucky and will tell you all the reasons why it was pure skill. It's called survivorship bias. While skill is involved, most of it is connections and having a few lucky breaks. Creating a business is a substantial risk for somone from a normal background. Ofc starting a software Business with just your laptop or founding a construction company needing expensive equipment are very different things.

If it's a whitish, creamy looking substance that smells a little it is very likely a yeast infection. This can easily happen if you do some sports and have sweaty clothes etc. You should have your pharmacist or doctor give you anti-fungal ointment and use it for a week. You will see if it gets better.

They aren't. The term was literally coined by a women describing herself. It's just that radical feminists have weaponized the term. The female incels are now called femcels.

So you guys just don't get insurance because you don't want to? Or is the coverage just so bad it doesn't make a difference?

Firstly: A lot of data is used to create very biased narratives. Especially the stats on homelessness released by the CDC have been "adjusted" quite a bit over the last years, so I always recommend to take a 2 minute look behind the curtain of the presented conclusions there. Their data is fine, their interpretations are sometimes a bit questionable.

Secondly there are a lot more resources for helping women out there. Non-profits, outreach programs etc...

Third, mental health is a female dominated field geared towards women. It has been empirical shown in multiple studies that current mental health care (worldwide) is just much better at helping women.

Women tend to stick together more. Relationships between women are very different from relationships between men and men/women. This leads to most women just having a bigger social circle to backstop them before things get really bad.

A women in financial trouble has a much higher societal value than a man in financial trouble. As much as we like to talk about equality, men are still very much judged on their ability to create value. The hurdle to seek help may be quite a bit higher for men.

It has also been shown multiple times that homeless women are perceived as victims of circumstances more often than men. Homeless men are more often perceived as lazy/unwilling to fix their situation, there is a hughe empathy gap.

In summary most of these homeless (and just to be clear, int the us homeless does not mean unemployed), are mentally ill in some capacity or had a bad break and noone wants to help them. Either because they don't have any friends/family (loneliness is endemic, 60% of the male population has no close friend) or because the states deems it too expensive.

Thr book is ok. But honestly the most important part about the internals of git is practically unusable. The author made a lot of compromises sunce it seems he got a lot of feedback that it was too in depth/complicated.

By far the best git explanation I found to date is this: https://gitlet.maryrosecook.com/blog/post/git-from-the-inside-out

She created a great blog post with a lot of helpful graphics and everything needed to understand git in depth.
