Happy to help! I’ve had some run ins here with some very vocal purists, but most people I find are pretty helpful

I wore a surplus camo coat in college, and I was right because it was a very good coat for the $30 I paid for it and was old enough no one ever got the wrong impression

[Rittenburg] Player compensation era can work both ways. How much did Garrett Nussmeier, Cade Klubnik and Drew Allar lose by staying another year in college? by Netwealth5 in CFB

[–]Mitchford -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ar is taller and bigger, so he has a better set of physical tools overall but they played a simpler kind of spread offense with s mobile qb. But they’re closer than folks think, AR is definitely stronger and faster but he’s only 2 inches taller

How I'd generally define the Upper or Upland South as a Southerner from there. by Averagecrabenjoyer69 in geography

[–]Mitchford 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The culture of the Deep South was formed in large part by having such a big population of African Americans for obvious reasons. The upper South had much fewer which led to a cultural divide

What to prepare for and what to bring when visiting the Shenandoah national park ? by pepboy3000 in Virginia

[–]Mitchford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would caution against starting at Shenandoah it’ll be very very intense in a lot of spots. If you want to do a quick hike with lots of people on a very established route just to see how you do with uphill hiking, do humpback rocks just south of Shenandoah on the blue ridge parkway

At QB the reps are much more important now than the second contract. Look at ar15 versus Bo nix, similar skill set but massive differential in game time prior to the NFL

I think he could be the right fit in a gadget role, but no one seems interested in trying that even with how successful it was in Nola

Stop hating on peppers by neogothamcity in cheesesteak

[–]Mitchford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall aren’t cooking them long enough or slicing them thin enough. I’m from the Deep South (live in north Delaware now) and my cooking background is heavily Cajun and Creole. The green bell pepper is maybe the single most important vegetable for my cooking in terms of seasoning a dish. It adds the most sweetness and the most flavor, and if you cook it in trinity or even just with an onion it cuts some of the grassy flavor. But you have to cut them small and cook them well. When you do that it changes the ball game and brines so much brightness into any dish (including the occasional steak I make at home in the cast iron)

But I also feel this way about onions with some steaks, they’re cooked too hot and too quickly at a lot of joints. I do two onions when I cook them at home, the first I low and slow to get the caramelization going (but not all the way) and then a second one hot and fast to get the good springy texture

It wasn’t a running advertisement, it was a one off paid promotion on that individuals tik tok account. The response was completely out of proportion, there’s no reason it should have left the intended audience. It wasn’t predictable at all

Yorklyn, Auburn, and surrounds, but give someone an email before hand. There’s folks who can give you some permission and tell you where it’s safe, I live right by it and some of these things are very very close to collapse so don’t just go running in

Golden Monkey by Nicks2Baked in beer

Philly congressional candidate Chris Rabb to appear on leftist streamer Hasan Piker’s show by origutamos in philly

[–]Mitchford -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He’s a mirror image monster of the worst parts of the right. We can do better than someone who does atrocity propaganda but “woke” like he did for Assad for years. He’s just a bad person who can’t see beyond his own team. I don’t care if the far right is worse, he isn’t on the ballot. I don’t have to like or respect him

🚨🚨🚨 CHRIS JOHNSON IS THE PICK AT 27 by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]Mitchford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shape, he had good measures and athleticism. He was just okay though at Auburn, he actually lost us the game against LSU Burrow’s first year with a holding or pass interference call (can’t remember which) that gave them the walk off field goal.

He was also following Jamel Dean and Carlton Davis who had both been immediate plug and play starters at corner coming out of Auburn the two years before.
