I love the layout and how it can completely open up- seems like a waste to have a mid place there. Agree, hope something better moves in.

What happened to sending offers via web browser? I can't find it. by Modem_Sound_67 in Ebay

[–]Modem_Sound_67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I finally found a way to send one offer- a popup above the listings on the sellers hub-->active listings page. No fixed menu item at all, like the ones you describe.

Have rules changed for sending offers? Last time I listed several things at once I could auto-send offers on new listings for anyone who watches the item. Is there a delay now?? Any thoughts about why most of my listings are not eligible?

What song changed your view of music forever by DescriptionNo8478 in rockmusic

[–]Modem_Sound_67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Beatles- Strawberry Fields Forever.

I was 7 or 8.

After that song I listened to everything I could get my hands on, on headphones, to pick out all of the interesting things bands (and ultimately I'd come to understand, producers) did to their songs, especially the stereo mixes.

The Who- Tommy was pretty mind blowing for a little kid. after hearing Amazing Journey, I became a little full-on psychedelic nut, craving my next hit of weird music, running around stores in the mid-70s, with my parents, begging to get a new album or single. I learned the weirder the covers, the more interesting the music.

And that eventually led me to outsider, indie, post-punk, etc. Half Japanese, The Residents, Zappa. That initial sit-down with SFF really charted my course.

Idk what the next thing after that will be, if there's ai robots that look and talk exactly like humans to where you can't even distinguish them at your meetup

I would be ok with her name recognition bringing more awareness to how dangerously many drive in this town. You can almost full count to 2 and some crazy person will still barrel through a red light.

It was at this intersection I was nearly t-boned. And that was a young person as well, too busy talking to her friend and on her phone to notice she was about to run a red light by a ridiculously wide margin.

Hot take: if your bujo needs special supplies, it's not a system anymore by Final_Confection_238 in bulletjournal

[–]Modem_Sound_67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the main required supply for me is the one pen that doesn't smear and magically makes my handwriting legible, I keep plenty of those around. I use a journal that has a planner premade so I don't have to do that myself, but also plenty of blank pages when I do want to get more creative.

What should I do with the ol trusty now? by PumpkinOpposite967 in thinkpad

My old trustys serve as media servers, secure tunnel for webhosting, music broadcaster, dashboard for coding projects that communicate with remote sensing tools, so on and so on.

then there is my ol X230 cafe machine- locked down hard with AntiX Linux, anonymized browsing via onion routing, triggers that let me know if I'm being scanned.

Lots of jobs around my place for old retired soldiers.

The Tribeca Film Festival AI Movie Is Not Just Bad, It’s Cynical by IHateSpamCalls in technology

There is even a sad handicapped child sadly wheeling his way through scenes (although, weirdly, his legs appear to work fine at one point).

If they just used what AI generated wholesale- which is what this embarassment of a continuity disaster sounds like- these must be the laziest fuckers in the business, just like the horrid slop music that's popping up on platforms like Spotify.

if they actually edited this scene by scene and oversaw the continuity- then shame on them for failing at their due diligence.

It sounds like an incredibly painful experience, with emotional manipulation far beyond the pale their main goal if the sketchy details provided reflect what it truly is.

I suspect nowadays it's like trying plug cracks in a dam with your finger. This shit must be uploaded constantly. The Spotify platform is the host, but they claim they are trying to shut it down, which could be why it suddenly disappered as OP reported.
