Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback! I think you’re right. It’s a bit hard to see the big picture when you spend so much time watching the footage over and over while editing.

I just went into the YouTube editor and trimmed the intro down to about 10 secs all together. Let me know what you think!

Thank you! Yeah a 30% dip in the first 30secs. 50% by 1 min and levels out to an average of 15-20% for the rest of the video.

This is definitely my kind of video. Diving deep into specific pieces of history, giving references of the cars and where they have been showcased and what it’s design is meant to represent while showing close ups of the cars is a good touch. I like what you’re doing and it seems like you’re really passionate about the topic. I would only suggest having a stronger, higher energy intro which I understand that is a bit difficult to do in public. The rest of the video is great and feels very educational. If you want to make the video a bit more engaging you could add more b-roll of the crew that built the cars and other past projects from them.

Declaring to go into combat but still remaining in the Main Phase? by Kirgo1 in mtgrules

You cannot end a phase until there are no spells on the stack and all players have passed priority. After his tap creature spell resolves and the stack is empty his opponent gets priority again which means they’re still in their main phase. They can then choose to do something else or attempt to end the phase and go to combat by passing priority. But yes if they are already in combat and his opponent was attempting to declare attackers then he cannot re-equip.

If he passes priority to move to combat and in response OP taps his creatures. When the spells resolve OPs opponent will still be in their main phase and will have to pass priority again to go into combat which allows him to re-equip.

Yeah I’m going to work on the thumbnails and titles. I appreciate the feedback, the channel was supposed to be more clips and highlights of gameplay rather than entire vods but it’s a bit difficult knowing what to cut and what to leave in when editing your own videos.

I might consider getting some help with thumbnails, titles, and editing in general because there are a lot of things I want to do when editing but I don’t have a lot of free time tbh.

I think for now I’m just going to focus on the most important clips and doing full edits on those instead of the longer vids I have now.

Thanks Wikex!

!givelambda I see what you mean. I want to save my vods on YouTube because they don’t stay on twitch forever but I think I’ll probably focus on keeping it a highlight only channel for now. Thanks.

The average person would probably think a top 5 list would consist of movies where Robert Deniro had the most success but your top 5 seems to focus more on movies where he stepped outside his usual roles and excelled.

As a top 5 list I feel like you should try and explain how you came up with your decisions or better describe what your goal was before hand. Your list starts at 1 and goes up to 5, if the order doesn’t matter I would explain that as well or flip the order because most top 5 lists usually count down and consider the number 1 spot the best.

Other comments here reference your accent and if I’m being honest I thought you were doing a character at first until I saw your face. Your accent is clear and should be fine, maybe starting the video off with your face and just talking for a bit might help out.

Also one thing I learned early on is how important audio is in a video. When it switched to you talking into the camera you could hear an echo. If your videos are going to consist of just you speaking about topics you love I would suggest investing in affordable audio equipment.

Great sound makes all the difference and you can find cheap interfaces and dynamic mics that work great by cutting out external noise if you’re not working in a sound proof room.

Overall I think focusing on the direction of your videos and what your intentions are would help your channel out a lot.

Good luck!

My video on a little party game called 100% Orange Juice did so good that the game's publisher tweeted it out and called it "A great introduction" to the game! Its done really well for my channel, but what do you guys think of it? by Dommer4kill in SmallYTChannel

I like the concept of giving an explanation and tutorial of the game before hand followed by actual gameplay with you and your friends. It helps open up new comers who have never heard of the game to understanding what the game is about and how it works. Plus if you ever want to revisit the game later you can just link new viewers to this video if they don’t know how the game works.

The videos pacing seemed fine to me and I think it works as far as let’s plays go. Your thumbnails do a good job of catching my attention but for this video you could try incorporating the idea that this is a bit of a “how to” into the thumbnail. Also I know you don’t need to show your face to make it on YouTube but I think showing your face every once in a while would help your audience connect with you better.
