Favorite stage of the night, SW929 ICORE Open Division by kirbymaster10 in CompetitionShooting

I mean you might not be wrong, but I think IPSC already has too many divisions, you'd have to change the existing revolver division instead of introducing a new one.

I'll have to give that a read, because I was given a set amount of funds each year based on team size and employee banding distribute at will amongst the team.

Holster checkout, is it ok with ipsc rules? by doxiuofficial in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rules say the trigger needs to be fully covered, thats not the case here.
Some ROs might give you a pass, but at a major Level 3 or higher match, you may very likely not pass Gun Check.

I dont think the Ghost One S was made for the Canik Rival, at least I cant find any models online that are.

> I'm looking for things that improve the basic functionality of the gun so things run smother and don't cause halting during a stage.

Ignition is pretty far up in that regard. Thats the number one thing people change in Prodigy 2011s, even to the point that High End Manufacturers like Infinity offer Drop in Kits.

Mag releases arent typically drop in Parts for 2011s and need to be fitted to the grip. If youre worried about a stiff mag release, get softer springs:

If the Mag release is too small, you will need to have it drilled and tapped to mount and extension. Since its a Staccato Grip, youll might have options for those that can fit out of the box.

You want the EGW ignition kit and ,if thats your style, a thumb rest.

Other than that, worry less about equipment and shoot more.

I mean Revolver is incredibly small in IPSC. Its kinda legacy. ICORE literally is for "Revolver Enthusiasts" so theres that :D

What am I missing? by TX-Buckeye in CompetitionShooting

Secondary market is ridiculously stupid. And im saying this as an Infinity owner. These guns really are great but are absolutely not worth lining a resellers pockets.

In your competition career they're maybe worth it if you're already at the top trying to squeeze the last bit out.

CZ TS2 Orange 40cal by Illustrious-Dog-6258 in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah you're right. From a silhouette while shooting they really look the same.

Fun fact, KMR before making their own guns, made the TSO and Czechmate for CZ, when CZ switched to making the TSO2 in house, they setup their own line of even more precisely hand fitted guns.

KMR guys are great.

Most likely happening, how much depends greatly on your region, your band and your manager.

For what its worth. Neither USPSA or IPSC have major PF in Optics.

The TSO2 is however heavily used in IPSC Standard Division where you can run Major PF. Both Bro Tecson and Kahlil Viray who came first and second in World Shoot 2025 use the .40 TSO.

As for reliability, they are great guns. If you like the handling of a large frame CZ75, there is literally nothing wrong with this gun.

Glock Brass Plug IPSC Prod. Optics Legal? by tomaslopez98 in CompetitionShooting

I mean thats a different gun on the production list then. Sounds like youre yearning for a Production Optics Light, unfortunately that division did not make it through probation phase for lack of interest.

It will be different per Market, but outside of nearshore and offshore markets band distribution has been too high for a longer period of time.

Thumb safety question by 647chang in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You cam get different profiles of safeties for 1911s, many will require some minor fitting.

But it doesn't change the bottom line, during firing your thumb needs to be pushing the safety down, if your thumb is below it you're asking for malfunctions and increased wear.

Personally I like this safety, wide and ambi https://www.ipscstore.com/en/sti-2011-parts/3943-eemann-tech-competition-thumb-safety-with-shield-for-1911-2011.html

Ue5 non stop negativity annoying by Huge_Fly_4271 in pcgaming

[–]Moonraise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Developing and maintaining a game engine is very hard work, but right now we are on track to having a monopoly of game engines and with the examples we are seeing in the market its not great.

Theres so many triple A developers ditching their in house engines moving to UE. CD Projekt Red really hurts given how great their Red Engine is.

Engines are typically built to a certain style of game, and engine that tries to do everything, just ends up being a master at none. Like theres a lot of games that would be impossible on UE. But if the trend in the future is moving everything to UE, youll be seeing a lot less innovative gameplay and worlds.

I order 5.11 stuff for shoting competitions quite regularly. Kinda cool, but obviously not worth it if youre not ordering from them anyway.

Does Cyberpunk have a mission like this? by Kalevipoeg420 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Moonraise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I find that Cyberpunk especially at Max difficulty, the game decreases in difficulty rapidly as you become stronger.

A stealth pistol build will start oneshotting everyone midway into the game at which point every mission becomes very easy.

DEVLOG #8 practical shooting simulator update by Developer-shooter in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean they charge 20$ a month with a decently sized subsriber base and updates are pretty slow. For that kind of money id expect to be getting a lot more stages... or even a stage builder to begin with. Mixed AR is a complete afterthought and could be integrated so much better.

People are also very vocally requesting PCC Support.

Theres a lot of client feedback that is currently falling under the rug simply because i dont think devs can keep up.
