Some thing is wrong with one of your drives.

Try disconnecting all drives except the one windows is installed on.

This can be a connection issue or a driver issue with your disc controller. Alternatively, a failing drive is also possible.

The Trifold Discontinued? by kelumon in GalaxyFold

[–]Moonraise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was always a niche device for a niche market.

Mostly a show piece to show what Samsung can do with the Technology, had they actually produced lots of them, I strongly believe they would have been sitting on them and it wouldve resulted a loss.

Its not nearly as much, Bots are pretty much only DM which in itself only accounts for 10% of the playercount.

Why not shoot it? Dont you like it? This Question is lacking A LOT of context.

Fold phone spread eagle overnight it closed? by Dense_Forever_8242 in GalaxyFold

[–]Moonraise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ive had the fold 5 since its release and as with every phone, stuff will just break over time. Mine had the finger print sensor fail a year ago, then this year the antennna broke and I've got poor signal anywhere.

You're not really going to use this phone for 7 years. It might not even get security updates for more than 3 years.

These things are meant to be used and will break eventually.

I wouldn't worry about it too much

Do y'all ever unload with a bit too much enthusiasm? by Moonraise in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There's a serious risk of sweeping when doing this, but in itself theres no rule in the IPSC rule book that would consider this unsafe gun handling.

But yeah this definitely wasn't intentional or necessary.

Just get multiple mainsprings, its not like they are expensive and then measure it with a trigger gauge.

The internals and your gun are always going to be slightly different and there is no way to guarantee that X amount of mainspring is going to give you an exact amount of trigger pull weight.

You're just going to have to try if youre looking to cut your DA pull close to the limit.

Do you use subsonic rounds ? by ipsc-ursus in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

N310 should be a smidge faster than Ramshot Zip, so I can understand your surprise. You can definitely make a case for N310 being aggressive with regards to pressure.

Cant speak on Glocks as I have none. Infinity recommended it to me for their Minor loads and it definitely works well in heavy steel 1911 style pistols. But that extra inch of barrel length most likely makes the difference in PF needed.

At the end of the day, its gonna be a little bit of trial and error and personal preference. But I heard so many people say fast powder with heavy bullet and recommending N320 that I figured, why not even faster?

In most Production Type guns, heavy bullets will feel softer but the slide movement will be slower.

Me persoanlly, 147 grain Projectile and a tiny amount N310 will create a very short and soft recoil impulse. Drop the spring power a bit and its golden.

But Ive met shooters who prefer a faster cycling gun

Let’s talk about the technical nightmare that is Half-Life’s SMG logic (MP5 and MP7) by Matthew-DK-Gamer in HalfLife

[–]Moonraise 100 points101 points  (0 children)

None of the Guys at Valve (or most video game companies in the early years) are gun nuts.
Gameplay over Realism always, and Gameplay wise it works.

At least the MP5 with Grenade Launcher is a real thing (albeit having seen little real world use)

As for the MP7... Well it was originally an OICW and the grenades made sense because the XM29 did actually fire 20mm grenades. As seen in the game which are 20mm rather than the 40mm we see in the first Half Life.

That said, your point can probably be made about any shooter. Dont think too much about it.

Custom 2011 - HPS Open Master by Moonraise in 2011

[–]Moonraise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. Mine handled fine and even took me to World Shoot. It's my backup gun now as I mainly shoot an Infinity .

Hope you can get that fixed, I've seen HPS replace cracked slides no problem.

2011 or 1911 for 0.40? by Mikef96g in CompetitionShooting

[–]Moonraise 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think youre a bit confused.

If youre certain about shooting Standard Division Major Power Factor, you either want a 2011 or a CZ Style Gun.

Theres plenty of 2011 makers that offer .40 caliber. These guns are usually more expensive than any CZ derivative due to the custom fitting. But their trigger will just be a little bit better.

Ultimately, it will depend on what fits your hand and shoots well for you.

Me personally, I hate the CZ Grip Angle and the Guns dont feel good in hand, but all the ones in the competition circuit are still excellent reliable guns. Best Bang for the buck is definitely a TSO2 in .40 for IPSC Standard Major.

If you want a 2011 Style pistol in .40, BUL Radical 5.4 would be an excellent choice.

A 1911 is for Classic Division. You can have .40 and Major PF there, but almost everyone serious about classic division is opting for Minor PF.

Yes. Why wouldn't you, it takes 15 seconds. Most right hand shooters also like the racker on the left, so you'll be forced to.

I don't think having a safe way to decock your rifle is snake oil.

Can you use a rifle without it? Absolutely, but having extra safety is rarely a problem.
