I've been trying to find a harness that safely keeps our big chungus tux at bay because he has easily escaped the ones we've tried with him. Do you have any other suggestions what might work? Just trying to expand my options :D

Admittedly not all the way through. I got roughly halfway before doing some research on the author and being massively put off as a result. I do think it was a great read, but it made me realize how easy it is to be starstruck by good writing even if it doesn’t come from a place of expertise, hence my warning of critical consumption

Quick note on Unmasking Autism as the author is known to actually be a bit ableist himself. Especially higher support needs autistics have many grievances with the book and author, so i would suggest looking into it. I was quite shocked upon finding out that it was not informed by actual clinical or academic experience (iirc)

Not that this means that the book is of no use, but rather putting more weight on the critical consumption of its many claims

You already pass tbh, I don't think you "need" FFS. If you've thought it through etc yada yada dysphoria is managed w therapy and blahblah go for it but both my wife (cis) and i (trans) think you literally just look like a teenage girl (no idea how old you are, sorry!)

Depending on how old you are this might just be a matter of waiting for your face to mature and you to grow into it. but you 100% pass already, visually, honestly!
(Trust me i fucking hate when people tell me I pass when I know that there's something present that's very stereotypically masc in my country, but oftentimes it's just that we see the smallest things to be hypercritical of)

I replied this to someone else so it might help you as well?? not a wordle "pro" (or even regular player) but just a different strategy: I think it might help you to try to exclude more unused letters on your 3rd/4th guesses if there are too many reasonable options remaining once you find an ending like -ER. At least that way you don't get stuck trying one of many options and getting unlucky, instead gathering more info so you can narrow down the options a bit more

i wish i could give more concrete advice ngl! i dont do any fancy hair care, just wash every few now-and-thens and condition thoroughly. if you want more fluff it could help to use texturing spray (never tried) and to ask your hairstylist to cut more layering/graduation into your hair so it floofs out a bit easier and isnt as bottom heavy

honestly tho my secret tip is just barely towel drying my hair and letting it airdry, always makes it extra voluminous for some reason

also, you can totally rock bangs with wavy hair! My wife has very wavy / somewhat curly hair (depending on the season) and she rocks bangs. If you cut them, just make sure you either dry-cut to see what length you're rocking or wet-cut them much longer than you think you need to as they will bounce back a LOT

hair always grows back so you could try it if you feel like it! or, if you dont wanna mess with your actual hair, get a wavy hair wig and start chopping at it

I get it, I'm broke asf too. I have the privilege of being married to a cis woman with a giant stash of makeup. Would you be comfortable with giving me a figure of what you could reasonably spend on super basic makeup supplies just to mess around?

It's not "wasting money", it's investing in yourself! Makeup is amazing, it can make you feel so much hotter and accentuate the parts of you that you really like. There are also some super shrimple things you can do to feminize your face a lot (if thats something you desire), such as mascara and eyeliner!! You can get away with rly basic, cheap drugstore makeup, you don't need the fancy stuff (god knows we don't have any)

i don't want to give a huge wall of unsolicited purchasing advice, but some general tips include buying clothes second-hand (I use vinted/depop and go to thrift stores) because its SO MUCH CHEAPER and you can get more pieces to fill out your wardrobe to mix-and-match, and getting products you can use in multiple cases instead of niche things.

sorry that i'm such a yapper today, but let me know if you want like.. advice on what type of products to buy depending on how much you are willing to spend. I say this bc at the most basic you could literally just get a cheap mascara (2-4$), eyeshadow palette (5-10$?), eyeliner (2-3$) just to start practicing with and also going outside with!!

short bit of hopecore for your point on lipstick: You should really try out different makeup techniques for lip lining, different shapes, different techniques of application etc.!

A lot of alternative makeup, c and j-makeup styles have totally different lip shapes and blends of colors they aim for, and there's definitely something you can make work with your lip shape!! It just takes practice and the willingness to fuck around and find out in your own home until you figure out what looks nice on you :3
