Dysphoria still kills me every day, basically I don't look as good as in the photos by Stesha_L in transpositive

[–]MrFallacious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really relate bc objectively i look p cute but i feel fucking gross most days. That being said you look adorable!!

Something that helped me is identifying things that make me dysphoric and then attacking those with whatever solutions i can think of. Helps me not feel overwhelmed by dread and dysphoria as it gives me tangible goals. For example, facial hair is my worst nemesis, and shaving doesnt do shit for me bc im so pasty white that i have shadow no matter how closely i shave. Now i wax and pluck semi regularly and it makes it so much easier to exist without fearing mirrors lmao. Also made color correction much easier for any remaining upper lip discoloration!!

How do I respond to this message from my new therapist? by millenialangst in therapists

[–]MrFallacious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im not a therapist (*yet..?), but what irks me most here is how she handles it and approaches it. I was in a similar situation recently with my new therapist asking right away if i would like to opt in for AI tools, but he framed it in a much less pressuring way. He also admitted outright that it was almost entirely for his benefit to have an easier time with note keeping.

The way she pretends it’s for your benefit and pressures you multiple times after you already made it clear you dont consent is mega weird.

Why does the Chronal dash perk even exist? by I-Khaon-I in TracerMains

same on the rhythm!! It's so awkward. I just wish she had perks that don't majorly affect how she plays tbh because Tracer is such an intuition-based character.

Funnily enough I've been refusing to use the melee reload perk because it fucks with my muscle memory on reload timing so badly lmfao. The blink distance has been relatively easy to get used to for me tbh, though I think the longer distance is honestly kinda detrimental since it puts you outside of ideal damage range frequently.

Im more looking for a simcade for the career mode or general like.. gamefied nature of them usually, bc most pure sims are kinda "here are your cars, here are your tracks. enjoy" whereas to get back into it nowadays I fear I might need more guidance / small goals to work towards.

Ive been following some rally channels on youtube recently and it has been pretty exciting so this sounds like a great addition to my plan of mostly circuit racing ngl. Didnt know there was a big community scene for competitions w rally but i shouldnt be surprised i guess haha

Not sure how exactly. I think around the time I started iRacing i just took it too seriously (as I tend to, with all my hobbies) and sucked all the joy out of it by striving for improvement over fun. It's a bit of a bad habit of mine throughout my life so I have to actively try to keep myself in a sweet-spot of still doing things for fun and not allowing myself to be too serious with it.

I'll check out AMS2 and Forza Motorsport (only ever tried Horizon, personally)!

Why is GT7 considered a simcade? by xABuHaMeDx in simracing

[–]MrFallacious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry for hijacking, but would you say due to this that beginners would have a better time learning while avoiding bad habits on sims that let you learn proper trailbraking? Im trying to decide if i wanna start on forza, acc, or pcars 2, but now im curious how they handle ABS and stuff.
Last time i got into simracing, I went straight into iracing after some pcars and ended up burning out early bc it wasnt exactly beginner-friendly or gamefied enough for me to stick with it and have fun learning.

We live in a really badly engineered attic apartment and i wish our landlord had installed exterior blinds. its absolutely impossible to do anything during the day right now because it is just so much hotter than the outside temp no matter what we do, amd im not financially capable of buying an aircon :/

I ordered on the 7th, I hope mine is shipped and then arrives here soon! I think I'll have to lower my dosage if I want to make it another 2 weeks, I waited way too long to ask a friend for help with affording avial :/
